They are light but that's the only good thing i can say. Bought these to go to Snowdonia and the highlands so they were put through their paces and i was not impressed. I found the design to be awkward and I began to lose trust with them not ideal as you are ascending or descending steep mountain walks. The assembly to tighten them is rubbish and in the end they became an emergency back up and luckily they was not needed as i used my alternative sets. It would have had to be a major emergency for me to use them. At the end of trips they were given away!!!

This is my first attempt trying Nordic walking and I wanted a folding pair of poles so I decided to choose Fostoy, mainly because of price savings and the features from the video display of the product. I am so happy with my first purchase of trekking poles. The product is top quality and much better than I was expecting, every bit as good as the video. So easy to assemble and sturdy, I already know these will last me a long long time. The workmanship and finish on the pole are excellent and they look very stylish and they are superior quality. The hand grips and straps feel comfortable to hold and adjust. The poles fit easily in my backpack and they are lightweight also. I don't know what more to say other than, brilliant!![Update] The poles (blue) are still in perfect condition and have never let me down once. Don't let the syllable 'toy' deter you from purchasing as these are not toys. I am now an experienced walker now and I have put a pair of leki tips on and walk maybe 7 miles a day on asphalt and have been going strong for about 5 months without a hiccup, no need to adjust or anything once setup and have never collapsed. I wanted to treat myself for Christmas and since I was so happy with the last purchase. I bought another pair, but in yellow this time for variety while out walking and they are just brilliant. Again I am astonished. Amazon would not let me write a new review so I have updated this one but other than that I would give them 10 stars

Value for money and helped me well for my first hike

Internal wires quite loose so sticks have a tendancy to seperate while walking. No means of tightening them. Easy to assemble and comfortable to use.Interesting to see how long they last.!!

These poles are good for a flat terrain. Any slight tension either mud or snow and the sections kept coming out. Very frustrating when your relying on them.

One stick is fine. The other is too loose in one section and telescopes when in use. But at least I'm happy with the one.
