PanPastel 20 Colour Set - Pure Colours / Painting Set

Nothing to dislike about the pan pastels they can be applied with make up brushes, they are expensive but are worth every penny. The colours are bright and colourful and are very effective on pastel paper. I would recommend these to anyone.

To be honest I was afraid to make this order, some of the bad reviews with broken pans made me think quite hard if I should order. After a lot of thought and because the price was so low I decided to give it a try, worst case scenario I could always return it. But I have to say it arrived in perfect condition. It was well packaged, not one pan broken! The colours are beautiful. Have not much to say about the quality, for those of you who know pan pastels you know what quality to expect, for those of you that don't know pan pastels they are the best soft pastels you will ever get. Really pigment, easy to use and blend, almost no mess, don't need to get your hands dirty because the tools make the job for you. I'm honestly extremely satisfied with the condition that this product arrived and would order again in a heart beat. I'm not saying that other people aren't valid and I agree they had reasons to complain but I have to be honest and say mine was perfect!

PanPastels are very easy to use and will last a long time. The "tools" are great and allow the user to cover a large area of paper in a very short time. The sponges are delicate and need to be handled with care. Wash and dry is the kindest way of cleaning them, better than scrubbing them on a paper towel. In conjunction with Pastel Mat the results are exceptional.

I bought these as I’d heard they were low dust so ideal for me with allergies and asthma. They definitely are lower dust and haven’t caused me any health issues. They are quite unique and not everyone takes to them. I love to use them to lay down a base of colour, it is so quick and easy using the Sofft Tools. The colours are rich and vibrant and you can mix and layer on the paper. You can use pretty much any paper with these unlike standard soft pastel sticks. You’re fingers are kept nice and clean but I do miss the tactile nature of blending with your fingers, and they aren’t as compact as standard pastels so take up more room. That said I wouldn’t be without them and have several sets. Mine are stored in the 10 capacity plastic containers so easy to see and use. They also work really well with all other types of soft and hard pastels.

I can not recommend these pan pastels enough. I am not an artist but a crafter using them for card making. I have never used a medium so creamy that blends so well for my backgrounds and colouring embellishments. I have been able to create my own background papers from scratch that look amazing. The tools you get with them work perfectly. I will certainly be purchasing more colours. I have the metallics which I use all the time. I was sceptical about these as thought they were expensive,but they are not as you use the tiniest amount so will last for a long time. These are really worth the money. Also they are like a creamy chalk with no dust. I would love to be a real artist as I can imagine you could do some amazing projects with this product.

out of the 20 pastels in the box, 7 were damaged, one so badly it leaked through all the packaging. the other broken ones are usable but had to find lids put on them to stop them leaking all over. product is lovely to use

Ces PanPastels paraissent chers, mais ils durent longtemps et permettent d'économiser les pastels tendres et les crayons ! Dégradés, mélanges et superpositions sont vraiment facilités. Le rapport prix/qualité/durée est finalement très correct ! Ils s'appliquent sur de nombreux supports, bois, pâtes polymères, scrapbooking... Nombreuses vidéos sur YouTube. Je conseille d'utiliser les outils Sofft Colorfin spécifiques : outils et petites éponges de différentes tailles et formes pour l'appliquer. Il fait merveille pour réaliser les arrières plans des dessins au pastel, ainsi que les 1ères couches de base. Voir photo : 1ère couche uniquement au PanPastel appliqué avec une éponge moyenne sur papier PastelMat. Il permet de travailler comme la peinture, idéal pour le paysage, retouche d'aquarelle etc.

Sono davvero impressionato da questi colori. Panpastel è del colore (detto pigmento) in polvere finissima, con le spatoline si applica facilmente e aderisce al foglio molto più facilmente del classico pastello, non lascia residui e cancellarlo con la gomma è semplicissimo. E' come dipingere, però non si hanno le complicazioni classiche dell'olio e dell'acquerello a cui bisogna aggiungere olio o acqua. A differenza dei classici pastelli si applica su molti tipi di carta anche non ruvida. Li ho usati con le matite è riesco ad ottenere un lavoro pulito e dettagliato. Questo è il set giusto per iniziare, ha tutti i colori puri senza aggiunte di nero o bianco per schiarirli o scurirli come negli altri set.
