Others don't give it the credit it deserves
I bought this for the first time and just received it. It arrived in perfect condition.I love having different bouillon and flavorings. I love seafood also and it's really hard to find any seafood type bouillon. I tasted it and really enjoyed the flavor. Definitely a lot of lobster flavor. If I had one complaint it would be the salt content. It's a little much but not overbearing.I really anticipate coming up with some good dishes using this excellent bouillon.

Better Than Bouillon Premium Lobster Base is great for spaghetti!
Better Than Bouillon Premium Lobster Base when I cook noodles. First I boil it a minute away from al dente. Save one cup of the water. DO NOT RINSE THE NOODLES. Pour the water out, add the cup of water, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of the base and 3 to 5 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir and serve.

pretty good seafood stock substitute
fish stock or broth is hard to find in most groceries where i live this doctors up chicken broth to a seafood stock level. A bit fishy and not 100% the real thing, but does it job

Huge fan and fantastic base! My new go to for my รฉtouffรฉe
Iโve been using Better than Bouillon for years for Chicken and Beef stock base and itโs one of the best. Since Lobster is not available in store local to my area bought this mostly for my Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp รฉtouffรฉe - game changer! Just added a new level of body, depth and flavor vs other similar stock options. Highly recommend all their bases!!

Follow directions on mixing
Added great flavor to mixed shell fish dish. I would recommend this because itโs easy to use & adds richness to a sauce.

No Lobster Taste
I cannot taste lobster in this product or in the broth of the bisque I made with this product.I made a lobster bisque last night. There is a photo of the jar in this listing which shows a recipe for the bisque, but my jar didn't have the recipe on it. However, the ingredients list does show that "cooked lobster" is the first ingredient, and salt is the second ingredient, so I would expect there to be a strong taste of lobster, or at worst, a weak taste of lobster. But I cannot smell or taste any lobster and neither can my wife. The contents of the jar smells more like a soy sauce.Nonetheless I made the bisque and I even added a half cup of cooked lobster tail. I could not taste any lobster in the broth at all and neither could my wife. The broth was not unpleasant to eat - it just didn't taste like lobster - not even a hint of it. Interestingly, I noticed that the website on the jar in the photo of this listing which is superiortouch.com does not come up. On my jar, the website is listed as betterthanbouillon.com so I went there and found the lobster bisque recipe. However, the recipe is a little different - the one shown in the photo on this listing shows that 1 cup of white wine is needed with 1 TBS of the lobster base. But the recipe on the betterthanbouillon site says I should use only 2 TBS of white wine and then 1.5 TBS of the lobster base, which is 50% more than the early recipe. But if that's true, then why do both jars indicate 38 servings are in the jar??? Doesn't make sense. Since it's an 8 oz jar, there should be 16 TBS of lobster base. Anyway, I used the website version recipe which calls for 1.5 TBS of the lobster base, and when all was said and done, we couldn't taste any lobster in the broth at all, even though I added my own fresh cooked lobster tail meat to the bisque. Very odd, especially since adding lobster meat is optional. It's as if they forgot to add the lobster meat to the product. I will try this bisque recipe one more time and edit the review if needed, but I'm not optimistic. If it fails again, I'm not going to throw it out - I'll use it mixed with a BBQ sauce for chicken or something... and cook some thighs on the Weber. :-)
