The mouse I have been waiting for
I've read a few of the other reviews on here and there's quite a bit of contradictory information, so it's hard to form an opinion: Is it big or small? Light or not? Is the software buggy or decent? I will try to help clear things up...TLDR; Quality mouse, great feel, excellent software, fully featured. Best I have used in many years.I've been using mice for gaming since the 90's, so I've tried more than a few. I usually hold the mouse between my thumb and third finger and this is the only flaw I've found with the mouse. My third finger occasionally activates the side buttons, but that's OK, I've disabled them and still have 6 available, PLUS the mousewheel press and a dedicated dpi shift button. Disabling the buttons was easy because the Roccat software is great, actually it is fantastic...The Software (Roccat Swarm)PC and peripheral manufacturers often try to make their software look "game-ified", but only succeed in making it utterly frustrating to use. The Roccat Swarm software is straightforward if you only want to do simple things like reassign buttons and customise your DPI. If you want to build macros and profiles you can do that too. But the true strength of the software is that the settings are stored in the mouse - so they travel with your mouse to another computer. Which is a godsend if, like me you share your keyboard and mouse between a couple of PCs: you set it up on one, and the buttons and DPI are just the same on another machine. It's lovely. I'm forever tweaking settings, so to have them consistent wherever I use the mouse saves on painful frustration. There are a few spelling errors and empty tooltips in the software, but the important parts seem to be finished.Physical (size, shape, quality)I have very average sized hands and fingers for a man (I know this to be true, I have been measured anthropometrically more than once. I also have a long back, short legs and a narrow head but my new mouse still likes me). I find the the Kova is pretty slim. It's quite high near the back so most of the pressure in my grip on it is just behind the knuckles of my index and second fingers. I hope that in months to come that's still comfy, but I don't foresee issues. It's a good medium weight, not at all flimsy. The button placements seem pretty good, perhaps not perfect. The button weights and clicks are light but not too light and have a nicely defined tactile feedback on click. The scroll wheel roll has a nice smooth notchiness. The wheel click is not heavy but you won't activate it accidentally. The wheel doesn't click left and right. The glide is nice and smooth, with 6 pads underneath. The cable is braided (less likely to snag or tangle than plastic) and a decent length. It doesn't use any of that horrible grippy coating which can wear off (Logitechs) or goes sticky (expensive microsoft bluetooth travel mouse, grr), just a pleasant matte finish.StylingThis is a very personal thing, but I really like that it's not embarrassingly aggressive or gaudy and it's not dull either. It looks good; purposeful. A functional device with appealing aesthetics.Compared to other miceI've used Microsoft mice, Corsairs, Razer and a ton of Logitechs. I mostly prefer right handed Logitechs for their fits-like-a-glove shape, quality and reliability. The Proteus Core G502 I had hoped would be amazing I didn't like, it was too easy to hit side buttons when trying to spin and win and the magnetic weight compartment had a scratchy edge which annoyed my thumb. The M600 MMO mouse was too high and fat and it was uncomfortable to get my thumb to all those side buttons. The Corsair M65 was great, but had a sticky thumb button which turned out to be a design defect (that looks to be fixed on the "pro" version). It also had an ever-so slightly abrasive surface finish which made my skin crawl, brrr.Equal opportunitiesThis mouse is ambidextrous which, unless you have weird hand dexterity, does render the side buttons on the side opposite your thumb fairly useless. But as a left hander when writing (but not mousing) I appreciate how valuable this is in a world of right handed mice. Lefties, rejoice!FluffIt's got lights on it. Usually I'd say I couldn't care less, but you can assign colours to the profiles for different games. So I suppose I mustn't dismiss it as a pointless distraction (it is though).

What a mouse! Amazing in white, too!
Had this mouse for a week or so now. I have spent quite a bit of time using it in normal desktop ways and also for its primary function, gaming! What a mouse!!Loads of buttons which feel really really well made. Good solid clicks so you can tell you've pressed them but they feel spongy in the 'after press'. This is actually very nice and they give a cushioned feel when you use them. Not something I was expecting but i am very pleased about. The mouse itself has a kind of matte feeling over it's body which is amazing for the lack of fingerprints you find after use. It seems to keep clean, is less prone to looking and feeling sweaty (if you're having a tough time on the gaming!) and has good grip. The branding is blatant but not overstated and shows the mouse off the be a pro product meant for something more than bog standard desktop work. The LED lighting isn't very bright. I saw this stated on a video review of this mouse which initially put me off slightly. But they are bright enough, there's really no need for them to act like a lightbulb and they can be changed using the free to download, Roccat Swarm software. I haven't had much of a chance to play about with the software as yet but there seems to be a load of customisation options. For gaming profiles, colours, DPI settings. It costs nothing and looks very smart with a good UI setup. This partners up really well with my Roccat ISKU+ gaming keyboard. The software is similar and allows you to use the {+} key setup, neat if you want it!I have both peripherals in white, they looks very smart together and are both yet to put a foot wrong. I will update if I find any issues but so far, this is the most expensive mouse I have owned and I got what I paid for. Really pleased. Cheers, Roccat! :)

Reliable, high quality feel.
Pros:Arrived on timeHigh qualityVery responsive and easy to use500dpi button helps with long range sniping, you hold it down and it's 500dpi until you release, it's a nice feature I appreciate.Nice solid feeling clicks.Light effects work and are of good quality.Cons:Lighter then I would like, but thats personal preference, and for the price, adding renovable weights would feel closer to it's value.I ordered white but a grey one arrived and the boxed looked like it had the tape picked open. Can't be bothered to exchange.Apart from that the mouse works perfectly and it was in perfect condition, it installed immediately when plugged in running windows 10.

Excellent mouse package - very good for left-handed gamer.
Excellent mouse. As a left-hander it's nice to see a manufacturer produce a multi-button mouse that can be used for either hand. The control panel software is excellent too. This is my second Kova mouse. I previously used Razer mice but the Kova mice are better featured and my last Kova lived far longer than my previous couple of Razers. So, lots of buttons. Can be used in either hand. Superb resolution and tracking. Excellent control software (not essential to use the mouse but gives you a very wide range of features).I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

12 buttons is a bit of a stretch.
I bought the Grey version on a lightning deal and would advise choosing the black version as the grey one shows finger marks easily. The ROCCAT - Kova is a decent size for large hands.Quite light. The stitched cord is a nice quality.----Claims to have 12 buttons.2 thumb buttons,2 pinky finger buttons,2 index finger buttons,2 middle finger buttons,1 dpi button in the center.Scroll wheel, up down/press (This is counted as the last 3 buttons ?)Has 8 buttons (What I consider) real buttons, but realistically, only 6 are easy enough to access. The 2 furthest back buttons are great for using with the thumb, however, the same 2 buttons on the opposite side on the mouse are ridiculously difficult to press with your pinky. I guess, the benefit of them is for left handed users.

Good performance, not great for big hands.
The software of the mouse restricts its potential mainly the assigning of the buttons, the mouse itself is nice, very precise. It's a little on the small size, so if you have large hands you might struggle to get a good position for your hand on it. RGB works well. Overall, a good product.

Molto comodo!
