“Oh for Gods sake” - The “other” War Doctor
The story behind this is the prop master cut the head of a 4th doctor screwdriver toy, put a red LED light on the top and stuck the red “fez” piece on the bottom. So that means this is the most accurate representation of an onscreen prop used on Doctor Who. Sound chip is inaccurate to the episode it features (The 50th Anniversary “The Day of the Doctor”) but let that slide is this screwdriver is meant to bridge the gap of classic and NuWho.

A Whovian must have.
If you’re looking for the toughest most durable toy on the market with all the bells and whistles, this isn’t it. However if you have a die hard Dr Who fan in the house that needs all the right tools for the adventure then they’ll probably need one of these. My son continually drops it, waving it about etc and it hung in there. Even for a couple of days after it was briefly dropped in the sea it did it’s best. But it doesn’t bother him that it no longer buzzes it still does the job and let’s him play the part. So you get what you pay for but it’s wholly worth it.

Accurate replica
Very nice and I had forgotten that the war doctor has a sonic and now trying to find a cosplay costume.

Good item for collection
Personally, these are expensive for what they essentially are, saying that my little boy loves it, this is now his 5th sonic. Think his goal is to collect all of them, even if the first 4 are mostly identical. Just my opinion not his!!, Arrived a day early than expected.

A scientific instrument!
This one, as featured in the hands of John Hurt in 'Day Of The Doctor', has some different noises to the other types available, whilst essentially being a variant on the familiar Tom Baker screwdriver. It is easy for any age to use, sturdy and not liable to fall apart like the 9th and 10th Doctors' models which endlessly need tightening. Also carries kudos points for it's obscurity!
