AC600 Dual Band USB Wi-Fi Adapter

This dual band wifi dongle supplied by Foktech was very easy to set up using the cd that came with it. Also the same setup can be found online if needed. Of course it being comparatively inexpensive didn't harm its appeal. Once set up this new wifi link selected the 5mhz band on channel 36 which had the strongest signals and link qualities. Right from the start the speed of my wifi on that machine increased threefold, it is claiming on the visual display that it is working at 433mbps not that my supplied broadband is that fast. Even when I have the laptop upstairs with lots of interference in between it and the router the signal strength is still very impressive and the speed is just as good. The LAN utility box which is usually minimised gives clear and up to date information on other nearby networks their signal strength and what channels they are using amongst other information such as current signal strength, link strength etc. There is also a tab for use when using wifi protected setup (wps) to connect. All in all a great wifi network in a compact USB dongle that works very well and a lifesaver for machines that do not handle the speeds associated with Fibre networks. I currently average higher speeds than those promised by my supplier even at peak times.

I would say this product is wonderful overall, I didn’t have to replace my computer which saved me a lot of money for only £10, the one reason I decided to take a star down was the installation process, it was not clear what so every and it came with a mini disc which fell into the computer so you do have to hold it whilst pushing the disc.

Works as should. Easy to use, no setup required. A bit got worried when saw disk for installation but it was not need for it. Connection is very nice, no any problem!)

Good product

Easy to install and set up the driver using the included mini cd. Small, unobtrusive and works well. My 10 year old laptop would not even see the Wi-Fi SSID of my new router. After a day of head scratching, bought this Wi-Fi dongle and it works very well meeting all expectations, would definitely recommend to anyone in a similar situation.

worked okay for 5 months - and then just stopped working. Sometimes light flashed - otherwise remained dark. Kept dropping signal and refusing to connect to wifi router. Gave up and bought a replacement

Just installed this on my Fujitsu Lifebook which is pretty old so the internal WiFi adapter went bad. Once the drivers were installed I still couldn't connect to WiFi. The trick was to go into the WiFi network folder and disable the internal WiFi card that was bad. The laptop has to see only 1 network adapter otherwise it gets confused or something else. I did read in the product description that they recommend you disable any WiFi adapters in the computer which is ultimately what worked for me. But so far so good. I can watch YouTube or do any other surfing I need. I am not a gamer so I can't testify to how it handles any of that.

Hasta ahora funciona bien. Solo tuve que reiniciar mi PC una vez.

Piccola ma molto potente, non perde mai il segnale, facile da istallare la consiglio per chi deve usare un desktop o notebook

Wir haben den Stick für einen alten XP Rechner gekauft und dort problemlos installieren können. Verbindung steht einwandfrei - ich empfehle den Stick gerne weiter!
