Dry Lining Pattress Back Box Double 2 Gang 35mm White

Easy fit a double socket in a recess (dry lined wall, plasterboard partition wall, wood panelling over a stud frame etc) where there is no wooden batten to fix to. Very easy fit and a very sturdy construction with good solid anchors for the socket screws. The latter is very important if you are (like I was) replacing an old plastic double socket with a good quality stainless steel type housing USB ports too. Best of its type.

I was surpised that I had to pay postage but that was my fault I though they were on prime.

What you get is pretty much exactly what you’d expect, however not necessarily the same as pictured in the listing. It’s also plastic rather than stainless steel as described in the listing. As some other review mentioned it might come with flaps already engaged and moving them back does take some effort as features in the attached video.

Bought a few sockets, switches, boxes etc recently for a few upgrades in the attic and garage. Wasn’t really bothered on looks as they are hidden and can’t be seen. Good quality and easy to use just like any of the more expensive brands. Would certainly buy these again if I ever have the need for them.

Like the way the fixing wings do not slide back when trying to get screws in, AND it works very well with thinner stud walls, will use same again if needed, with MK sockets was easy to fit.

I've ordered two of these, same ASIN, 10 days apart; they were both different, and neither looked like the photo. The first one was better quality and had black fixing wings that hinged at one end. The second had yellow wings that slide into place. These were already slid into place on reciept and were fiddly to get them retracted back inside the box so it could be fitted. Long story short, you will get a random cheap unbranded backbox that will probably do the job, but the product details in prior reviews are useless as you may not get the same product as the reviewer.
