Casio Unisex Watch in Military Green Resin with LCD Display and Auto LED Light - Shock and Water Resistant

Casio G-SHOCK (Model - GD-100MS-3ER, colour - matt green, negative display).This is my 3rd G Shock of 4. Each I use for specific tasks or functions and whilst they are all very similar in operation, there are small differences in what some models can specifically do. I've yet to check this watch for active reflection of direct sunlight but I have a feeling with a flat screen, it could "flash/glint" and giveaway position. For use at night in zero light however, a great choice for people who need a tactical watch. The illumination is a low red which doesn't destroy your night vision or give away your position. It illuminates the entire face, so you can use all functions in any light. Like many G shocks, you can mute sound too. Otherwise, this model works in the same way as many other popular and similar models of its type.1.). Comfort. Truly exceptional. It's not even broken in, yet I can barely feel that I'm wearing the watch at all, it is INCREDIBLY comfortable. The smooth resin strap is specifically shaped to fit the profile of the wrist and as the strap gets warmer from wearing it, it shapes to the wrist of the wearer even more. The strap is nice and wide with a double clasp which stops the strap twisting, contorting, etc. The strap is a smooth durable resin, so no issues with water, sweat or moisture and really easy to keep clean. Casio really did think about making these G-SHOCKS comfortable to wear and got it right. 5/52.). Aesthetics. The watch and strap is completely "matt olive green" with a simple black SS double clasp (nothing to reflect/glint light). With a black face and the negative display, as far as colour goes absolutely nothing catches the eye at all (unlike watches with bright colours all over the face, coloured straps, etc). This in itself strangely makes this model of G-SHOCK REALLY stand out too. If you're looking for a nice tactical G-SHOCK that doesn't have all sorts of weird and wonderful colours plastered all over it, this may interest you. The strap and external layout is the same common design shared amongst countless other models of G-SHOCKS. In low light the negative displays become more difficult to see. The white LCD digits don't stand out quite as well as is often shown in pictures, advertisements, etc. The illumination however definitely solves any issues there. The layout is quite simple and functional which I've actually found quite refreshing. It has all of the usual and well known G-SHOCK functions and features, yet the watch face isn't cluttered with so many dials, displays (hands where applicable) or information that they can end up being more difficult to read at a glance. You could call this a feng shui G-SHOCK!! Simple, clean and easy to read at a glance. 5/53.) Ease of use. Standard G-SHOCK order of set up, these watches are not complicated to set up at all for first time users. Whilst some models obviously differ from others in purpose, etc, they all share the same or very similar method to set them up. World time, stopwatch, timer and alarms, etc, are all very straightforward to select and use with the usual buttons. For those not used to G-SHOCKS, they're very easy to setup and after just a short time using them incredibly easy to use. The buttons have the usual surrounds to stop them getting damaged or inadvertently pressed. As with other Casio G-SHOCKS or Pro Treks, the buttons have quite a squishy feedback to them, not a click or solid feedback. May feel odd if you've never used one before, but you quickly adjust to them. 5/54.) Display. A negative display, which can be harder to see in low light at a glance (but this model has great illumination), easy to make out in good or reasonable light. Very clean and simple display on this model. In normal time mode you get the basic 12 or 24h time with seconds, day and the date. At a glance display to let you know which functions are enabled or disabled. The small dial far right and central dial simply count off seconds in blocks and it has clear features to let you know which specific features are enabled or disabled at a glance. Depending on which mode you're in after that, the dials then perform other individual or specific functions, etc. 5/55.) Illumination. Thankfully on this model is very good. It doesn't illuminate the entire watch face, but the main LCD and dials illuminate enough for you to be able to see and use all of the functions of the watch in absolutely any low or zero lighting conditions. It's bright enough to light up the display for ease of use in zero light, but not so bright it'll give your position away if you're using the watch for such purposes, it's also a low red illumination, so it won't affect night vision either. I specifically purchased a third G-SHOCK for zero light illumination performance as the illumination on my original G-SHOCK is incredibly poor. You'll be able to use any feature in any lighting with this model. As with my other G-SHOCK, the "auto illumination" feature is a little over sensitive and often triggers when not required or wanted and can unfortunately trigger from other normal movements of the arm. Over time this hammers battery life. IMHO, best to simply disable this feature and use the button to manually illuminate as required. As with other G-SHOCKS, you can also specify if you require the illumination to remain on for 1.5 or 3 seconds. Unlike some other watches, the illumination doesn't remain on for as long as you hold the light button. Pressing and holding the light button in fact enables and disables the "auto illumination', and you simply get 1.5 or 3 seconds of illumination per press. 4/5.Overall, an impressive watch for the money. The all matt green case and strap, and black screen does appears to have been laid out specifically cor use tactically. All of the usual G-SHOCK features. These watches can potentially last indefinitely and they can most certainly take serious punishment in the field and just keep on going. If you're purchasing to invest in a watch to last you for many years rather than as a fashion accessory (personally I'm in the former category), a G-SHOCK will serve you exceptionally well for this purpose. Ultimately, do your research and choose the right model to cover your specific needs, different models of G-SHOCKS cater for many different needs or purposes, so choose the right one before ordering!!Would I buy a replacement if this model of watch was broken, lost or stolen? YES! Durable, comfortable, ample display and illumination, and.... It's a G-SHOCK!! Definitely recommended right across the board. This specific model I'd personally rate at 5 stars. Rating at 4 would be slightly unfair in this case, so it gets the full 5/5!!

Wanted this as my "ops watch" as a serving soldier. Everyone else seems to have a Suunto but I don't need an inaccurate altimeter/barometer etc with a battery you have to change every 5mins and which turns silver after a week, so it was between this G Shock and the green G Shock Rangeman. In the end I decided that 99% of the time I wouldn't use most of the features on the Rangeman and it is probably too big on my wrists and for daily wear anyway. This one looked good online, but in reality it is even better. Chunky, very solid feeling - the photos flatten the watch and lighten the green but in person it is an awesome looking bit of kit that looks like it is armoured. Half the price of the Rangeman, very comfortable, practical and ideal for exercise or ops. Even has a red backlight for light discipline at night. Cannot fault it.

I love this, I haven’t got huge wrists but the size of this is perfect looks chunky without looking over sized.I like the dark green colour it’s different to a standard black but without being to in your face that it’s a different colour.The display is a bit darker than I’m used to but I’ve got used to it.The buttons and overall build is solid and very well made and it’s the most comfortable watch I’ve every owned, as it’s got double the holes on the strap there is excellent air flow.I am very very happy with my purchase. I now remember how much I love a good proper watch. Sold my Apple Watch.Recommended

Quality as expected from a Casio G Shock. The watch itself is big regardless of the size of your wrist.The green matte looks great and the screen although a little dark does exactly what you expect.It was easy to setup if you have owned a Casio before and an in-depth instruction manual is included if you haven’t.The red light is sufficient to see the screen in poor light conditions.A great watch for a great price.

A great, sturdy watch as you would expect from the Casio G Shock line. The negative display is easy to read in natural light or indoors in the daytime. A little harder in dim light, but still legible. And the red illumination fully lights every feature of the watch-face when you need it.Great features and easy to operate with a comfortable resin strap, the military green colouring is subtle and blends well with clothing without being too 'showy'.Well recommended.

The watch looks great, especially when worn with outdoor/sports wear. It is nice and chunky, whilst being light and comfortable to wear 24/7. I like everything about it; with one exception - the difficulty in reading the display in low light (but not in dark) conditions. In natural daylight, or indoors with decent overhead or good side lighting, there is no problem. However, occasionally in dim or dull ambient lighting conditions, I have been unable to read the display, and I've had to resort to pressing the 'light' button. This is a little disappointing, and means I have awarded only 4 stars instead of five.

Superbe montre, qui donne un look militaire sans être trop tape à l'oeil (kaki très foncé du plus bel effet).Bonne lisibilité du cadran, option basiques mais sans fioritures (c'est pour moi un point positif).Comme toutes les montres de la gamme G-Shock, grosse impression de qualité et de robustesse. À voir à l'usage mais elle semble tenir ses promesse. Déjà utilisée une fois dans l'eau, l'étanchéité est parfaite.Le rétro-éclairage (activable temporairement par une pression sur un bouton) est assez puissant pour une bonne lisibilité dans l'obscurité !Le manuel est un peu complexe, mais la montre en elle même est intuitive et permet aux plus impatients de profiter rapidement des fonctions de la montre sans prise de tête.Je recommande !

Ho acquistato questo prodotto in quanto cercavo un orologio robusto da poter usare tutti i giorni senza troppi patemi, ma allo stesso tempo con un numero di funzioni sufficiente ad essermi utile durante l'allenamento ed esteticamente appagante. Questo orologio è la quadratura del cerchio. Il verde non è troppo vivace per cui può stare al polso anche in ambienti formali, le finiture sono curatissime ed è semplicissimo da regolare ed utilizzare. Arrivato nella sua scatola di metallo originale Casio. Le uniche "paure" sono legate al cinturino visto che su diverse recensioni di Casio ho visto che dopo un paio di anni hanno ceduto. Fino ad ora non posso che dare 5 stelle all'utilissima funzione di orario internazionale, al cronometro, al conto alla rovescia e alla sveglia. Comodissima la funzione ora legale che mi permette di regolare il tutto con poche pressioni dei tasti. Lo ricomprerei 100 volte. Resiste a tutto, è semplice da pulire ed estremamente preciso ad un costo contenuto. Casio 4 life.

Una gozada. reloj mundial para ver las horas de 29 ciudades del mundo (las más importantes) y van en orden de este/oeste, puedes guardar 4 para mayor comodidad para encontrarlos. Tiene cuenta atrás, 5 alarmas (puedes hacer que suene una sola vez, o se repita diariamente), Cronómetro. Muy compacto, tamaño grandecito pero ligero. Sensación de robustez en materiales. Es G-Shock, para golpes y deportes, montaña... La luz led roja es muy militar. La correa tiene una calidad muy buena y cómoda. Tiene dos esferitas, una se divide en 10, y cada una equivale a 1 segundo. La otra (pequeña) en 5, y cada uno equivale a 10 segundos. La verdad que veo esas esferas mas por estética que por utilidad.. Viene en su caja original que es metálica. En definitiva que es un relojazo por ese precio. 10/10

Die Casio GD-100MS-3ER ist meine erste Casio, da ich eigentlich kein Fan von Digitaluhren und überhaupt Quarzuhren bin.Doch das aussergewöhnliche militärische und brutale Design der Casio war Liebe auf den ersten Blick und wurde nach wenigen Minuten (Recherche) bestellt. Spontankäufe sind meistens immer die Besten und auch hier hat es zugetroffen!+ Die Verarbeitung ist top, die Färbungen stimmen überall und auch unter dem Glas herrscht eine feine hochwertige Optik.+ Besonders gut finde ich die vielen verschiedenen Weltzeitzonen, da Familie, Freunde und ich viel reisen und man alle Zeiten auf einen Blick hat+ Der Timer ist gut für den Sport geeignet, z.B. um Pausen beim Kraftsport einzuhalten oder seine Schwimmzeit zu stoppen+ Das Einstellen und die Bedienung sind einfach und simpel in der Betriebsanleitung erklärt+ Stets gut ablesbar, schön erscheinen die hellen Zahlen auf dem schwarzen Display+ Auch bei Sonneneinstrahlung und bei völliger Dunkelheit (dank LED) gut ablesbar+ Tag und Datum+ Das Foto kommt der Uhr sehr nahe, natürlich bei weniger Licht etwas dunkler, das militärische Mattgrün passt aber hervorragend zum Uhrtyp. Wecker würde ich nur im Notfall benutzen, aber ist ja nicht verkehrt die Möglichkeit immer bei sich zu tragen.o Beim leuchten erkennt man deutlich die zwei Ursprünge (LEDs unten rechts und links)Fazit: Ganz sicher ist es keine Dress-Uhr, aber das wäre auch wider ihrer Natur: Sie ist eine unverwüstbare, militärisch anmutende Allzweck-Uhr für draußen und genau da will man hin sobald man sie trägt!
