Maison du Savon de Marseille - French Soap made with Argan Oil - 100 gram bar - Patchouli Fragrance

Absolutely gorgeous! I use all sorts of Maison du Savon's soaps and this is my favourite by far, just for the scent alone! As for customers who claim it leaves everything red, in my exprience (and I've gone through 3 of these patchouli bars now), it lathers up pink but has left zero residue on my skin. Nor has it left any residue in my shower or in my wash basin. I wouldn't keep buying it if it did. It's a superb soap and is gentler smelling than full on patchouli oil... not too heady, which is a good thing. Doesn't dry out or tighten skin at all. These soaps have been a wonderful discovery and take me back to France in my mind, every time.

At the time of my purchase, the seller was combining postage for items. So if you bought multiple items you only paid for one postage. I bought multiple items and it made the soap cost £3.50 a bar.I find this very reasonable and extremely cost effective and would be prepared to pay up to about £4 for this soap if I was buying it in a physical store.Considering the low-quality soaps often found in supermarkets and shops, this price is quite reasonable for such a high quality item.I have seen worse quality soaps at fancy soap stores and craft markets sell for higher prices than this.Well this soap might not be the same quality as Nesti Dante it is certainly very good quality and worth getting.The patchouli fragrance is very subtle. You don't have to worry about smelling like a middle aged hippy dressed in a homemade tie and dye kaftan coming back from a meditation convention, nor does it make you smell like an incense stick.The fragrance lasted throughout the bar. Some soaps the fragrance disappears as you use the soap. But even when the soap was reduced to a mere slither it still had its fragrance.The soap itself lathers well and cleans well. In my area the water is very hard and filled with limescale and the soap had no problem lathering up and cleaned well in these conditions.The soap came in a clear plastic wrap, which was fine as I didn't buy it for the packaging.The delivery came fast and hassle free.I would definitely buy this soap again and its performance and quality and overall value for money and cost effectiveness makes it a happy purchase.I certainly look forward to trying more from this brand as they have a very comprehensive list of exciting fragrances.

I like this bar but it does leave everything that it touches a bit red - ie. the holder in the shower, the spot on the sink where I put it down wet, etc.I'm not red, though, and the bar lasted well enough so it does its job. But, it does increase the cleaning of the bathroom - unless you look at this as the toiletry equivalent of those dental disclosure tablets one uses to highlight the areas that you haven't cleaned as well one might!

Nice smell. Feel clean after, suds very well.

The only thing that says patchouli about this product is because it has been stamped on it. The smell is more cherry and it leaves red soap deposits where ever it is put. Also you can see it getting smaller as you use it so it will not last very long.

What a surprise. Lovely scent, well made, a beautiful gentle scent that lasts the whole bar through. For the quality and size of these bars you can't go wrong. A little bit of luxury for a reasonable price. All amazon have to do now id allow you to have a combined postage option so it's worth buying more from one seller rather than a postage price for each item. I want to try all these beautiful soaps - I've added them all to my Wish List.

This is a lovely fragranced soap and so gentle and creamy leaves your hands feeling pampered and smelling gorgeous. No harsh detergents, just pure, natural oils make this soap one of the best I have ever used. For people allergic to too much detergent this soap is ideal, but even if you don't have a problem like that I recommend this soap because it is simply gorgeous.

Weak fragrance.

It is a good product, but I always have to be careful so that no water gets in the soap stand. It melts very quickly then.

The soap is nice, but it doesn't smell of patchouli. I don't think I would order it again.

Well, they look like they’ve been on a shelf for years . Beat up and crumbled corners. They should of never been sold . What a joke.

Meine Freundin ,die die Seife als Geschenk bekommen hat,hat sich hinterher ,jede Menge von Euren Seifen gekauft . Das sagt wohl alles . Immer wieder gerne und danke Euch .

This soap had almost no scent and what I could smell was not Patchouli.
