Makes an excellent bedside unit, is sturdy and well made would recommend the seller and weould use them again

Great little unit, good value for money, ideal for our WiFi router. Delivered on time and easy to assemble.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bookcase for three reasons, first it is reasonably sturdy, secondly the shelves are tall enough to take hardback books up to 23 cm (9 inches) high -- but this is not tall enough for lever arch files or A4 -- and thirdly it has a nice appearance. The big drawback which may not strike you immediately is that it lacks a base, the bottom shelf rests on the floor. This may not matter (for example if you put it on top of something else), but it is problem getting books out and may not be good for the books. I solved this problem by putting two new bricks underneath which worked fine. The assembly was OK, although I would have preferred the Allen key system used by IKEA, but be aware that not all cross-headed screwdrivers will work with the screws provided, out of the five cross-headed screwdrivers I have, only one really worked with them. You might be able to get away with using a short flat-headed screwdriver. Use an awl to line up the two holes for the screw beforehand or you could have problems. The problem, as always, is nailing the backboards on. I made two bookcases three of the nails I hammered in either cracked the "veneer" or made it bulge. You really have to be careful not to put the nails too close to the edge. Final tip: as these bookcases are so cheap, it might be worth buying one more than you need and have a dry run with one to practice putting it together. If the practice one goes OK, you have an extra good bookcase, if it goes badly you could use it somewhere out of sight (like a garage, although I suspect it will be affected by damp).

I was looking for a smaller sized bookshelf and this was a pretty good size. Very simple to assemble.

Used as a bedside table where space is tight. Few issues with first order with areas cracked and missing beech veneer. Customer service was excellent and was sent replacement parts.

For the money these shelves are brilliant, so useful for DVD’S, books. Take your time putting them together, I use wilko wood glue to stick the dowels in, a battery powered screw driver, not a drill which is to powerful, perfect job every time. I am putting my fourth one together now, and I am a very disabled 65 year old lady, so if I can do it anyone can. The delivery is very quick, a couple of days. For very little money you can’t go wrong
