Spear & Jackson 5LPAPS 5 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer

This is a really good quality pressure sprayer and feels well built from the start. I’ve been using it to spray weed killer around the patio, driveway and garden, and it performs very well. The pump builds pressure easily and holds it nicely, so you’re not constantly stopping to re-pressurise.Spraying capacity is large and the overall unit looks good! The sprayer feels sturdy and reliable, with no leaks or weak points, and it’s comfortable to use even when full. It definitely feels like something that’s built to last rather than a cheap, disposable option. For the price, the value for money is excellent. It does exactly what it’s meant to do and does it well. A solid bit of kit that I’d happily recommend for garden and outdoor maintenance.

Well...I bought it for my bug killer but as I was testing it in the garden with just water I found it to be excellent in cooling me down in the heatwave as a shower mist. I cannot use it for the bug spray now as I need it for my personal cooling system which is delightful spray. Loving it to be honest It was very simple to use and logical. The handle and holder for the spray arm is very handy. Seems sturdy enough as I carry it around the garden with me. I'm going to have to buy another one but will paint it red so i don't get the 2 confused lol. For me I say it's worth the money as it seems solid enough and works well and is simple to assemble, it's done in less that 1 minute.

I have a larger backpack sprayer, but wanted something similar, but smaller so bought this. It's typical garden sprayer construction of chunky plastic and metal parts, all of which are reasonable quality. Once purchased, check inside the container for the extra nozzles or you'll think they are missing.

I use a 5 litre weed killer in this pump spray - this makes the job so much easier than using the 1 litre spray bottles that I used to use, saving my back and doing the job much more efficiently (I have a large patio and driveway). It sprays quite well in terms of with accuracy, so doesn’t spray plants and grass I actually don’t want to kill, which is important! Easy to use and has a carry strap as 5 litres of liquid can be heavy. As the power fades, just use the pump action a few more times. The only downside is that the nozzle leaks weed killer after use, so I store the whole thing in a bucket to stop the weed killer leaking in storage.

Such a great help when spraying large areas like a fence. It’s a simple gadget to put together and use. I used it to spray my huge fence with spray and leave , it was great, cut the job by half.. Definitely money well spent . Will be able to use it for many other purposes like spraying the garden, and it will last for many years if looked after and cleaned after each usage.

Would like to give a good review and I expect it would work really well IF the air pressure didn't leak from the screw thingy that connects the wand pipe to the body. I suspect they didn't send the rubber o ring which would form the air tight seal. Only 3 stars because I had to buy an "accessory pack" after discovering this. Because this rubber washer is missing it doesn't hold pressure. On the upside it has a big opening which makes it easy to fill. Clear measurement marks I can see without my glasses. Solid sturdy plastic body. The strap makes it easy to carry but the wand pipe means I don't have to because it reaches the places I need to reach with the container sat on the ground ie my beds and raised beds. I suspect it you were using it on hedge or trees this strap would be if great value. Yhe strap however is thin webbing and I coild see this being really uncomfortable if used for any length of time. The pump handle is chunky enough that arthritic hands have no problems with it. I will update if the o rings arrive and fix the problem. *UPDATE* With the o ring fitted it is a great piece of kit.
