Sturdy constuction, Easy Assembly, lots of neat little tricky features.
I bought this light thinking it might be a good gift idea for one or both of my teen granddaughters . I have experimented with it, and I think it’s a great little lamp. I’m pretty sure teen granddaughters (or sons or daughters) would enjoy the light. It’s very sturdy: 1) the pole is a heavy-duty metal, 2) the base is not massive but it is weighty, and makes the lamp very stable. 3) it stands ram-rod straight (if you properly tighten each joint in the metal pole; don’t OVER-tighten), 4) it can be operated manually (buttons on the lamp pole), 5) or it can be operated with an APP on your cell-phone. Assembly was easy!! Setup of the APP is a different story, but see below for more explanation. It does all the STUFF claimed in the Amazon ad (I’m not going to inventory all it’s functions here, you can just read them for yourself in the ad). Once you get the APP downloaded and working, you can set scheduled on-off times, brightness, color and color-sequences. There are 100’s of functions and features, and your teen children or grand-children will soon have mastered several all of them. The music control was OK, I guess…(that stuff doesn’t excite me at all), but I did try it. It’s pretty easy to figure out the music control feature, but I’ll tell you this; it does require an audio source of music…. with the APP properly configured, you set your phone microphone next to the speaker, and the light will react with and to the music that is playing through that speaker.I had some issues getting it connected to the APP. I think there may have been at least one update since my model, so the APP connection instructions may be SLIGHTLY different one model to another. It's imperative that you follow PRECISELY the instructions provided in the manual AND in the APP. With the speciific lamp I have, the printed manual instructed me how to assemble the lamp, then directed me to download and setup the APP…… BUT once I had setup the APP, I had to return to the manual for continuing instructions….. instead I got caught up in exploring the APP, and so missed an important step in the printed manual.Go slowly, and FOLLOW the instructions.I did not test voice control. I have a speech impediment, so I don’t use voice control for any reason.I bought two sets of landscape lights (sold on Amazon) by this same company, Sunthin. The support service from this company is incredible!!! I can’t say enough good things about their representatives. Every issue I had with the landscape lights was quickly resolved, once I finally made contact with them. If you have any trouble with this smart lamp, don’t hesitate to reach out to the company. They worked with me in settingup the APP for this Smart Floor Lamp. They were VERY responsive.

Works as intended
Nice and bright, it lights up the whole room! I imagine it would not be great to have around small kids or clumsy dogs as it falls over pretty easily. That said, my kids love using Alexa to play with the colors.

Pretty good just wish it was a bit brighter
I’ve had it for a month and works very good with Alexa. If you have it on white it’s pretty bright but any other color it is not very bright. The actual lamp doesn’t have many buttons so you can’t adjust the brightness on it ( unless I just don’t know how) so I have to adjust it through the Alexa app. I really like a bright room so I might need to get another one bc I feel like half of my room is still a tad bit dark.

Doesn't last long.
It was easy to assemble, bright, colors are beautiful for whatever scene you like. However it doesn't last long. As I was cleaning, it stopped working, the light just went out on it's own and I got it recently, less than a month. I tried checking it out and noticed the buttons were lose so i was taking it down to reassembled it and discovered that the wires inside where the buttons go were ripped. I was deeply saddened by this unfortunate situation I really loved the lamp. Also the lamp would flicker here and there.

Easy to assemble, creates incredible vibe
I bought this because I was tired of having to change burnt-out light bulbs and get up to turn my lamp off before bed. With the app I can adjust brightness, color, even set an alarm in the morning. When I don't have my phone, its nice to have buttons on the lamp itself to change from whites to colors. I've recommended this light to many friends and family members

Stunning simplicity
We recently moved into our home and needed lighting for our living room. We considered wiring for ceiling lights but the cost was exorbitant. We don't like clutter, but prefer clean lines and bright lights. We took a chance on this light and couldn't be happier. It is sharp, simplistically modern, and SO bright: no more eye strain for reading at night. My kids enjoy the lighting options to no end:)As for the assembly, I don't quite understand the bad reviews. My 9-year-old was able to assemble it in less than 5 minutes and have it fully functional. It is sturdy, simple and a "10" in my book!

Problem due to pairing mode; Don't use with wall/outlet switch
The light itself is standard. Has separate R/G/B and WW/CW (warm/cool white) emitters. WW/CW are much brighter than color modes. Wi-Fi lamp function is powered by Smart Life / Tuya app.*Big problem:* When in pairing mode, it blinks on and off obnoxiously. The problem is that pairing mode is triggered by plugging & unplugging it a couple times repeatedly. But this triggers pairing mode even if it is already paired! So if you hook it up to a wall switch, it's easy to inadvertently trigger pairing mode. Would it kill them to add an additional button for entering pairing mode instead of relying on the mains power?
