Nice upgrade from a small countertop grinder. Use it to process venison that I harvest, can easily handle about 2"x2" chunk of meat, so less time cutting. It was slow going while stuffing on the grinder, I would reccomend getting a dedicated stuffer. Happy with the Weston Brand.

And don't make the mistake I made....This behemoth weighs 50 lbs and is almost two feet long. I'm sure it's a high quality grinder, but it doesn't belong in a residential kitchen. It would be great in a man cave or butchering shed, maybe. I wanted a grinder to make raw pet food. This would serve that purpose, but it's extreme overkill.Although I never used it, the loss of a rating star is warranted because the photos and description are misleading - they make the grinder look much smaller than it really is, and they don't mention its extreme bulk in the ad. I had to go digging deep into the company's website to get dimensions and weight. Which explained why I wasn't able to even lift it out of the box!

This grinder appears to work as advertised, but had clearly been used and not properly cleaned. There is dried blood on the fan and the auger was rusted.

I purchased this grinder because I switched my dogs to a raw diet and they are all seniors, over 12. My Yorkie has no teeth at all and one of my other ones has only a few left in the back. They cannot chew up bones and big chunks of meat. I also saw the larger grinder, the 1HP and I really wanted that but it was not available so I purchased this and it has been fantastic. I grind every 2 weeks and even though it is not really intended for bones, it will power through turkey necks and even a whole rabbit and oxtails with no problems at all. It doesn't make any strange sounds or slow down either. It is sturdy, well-made and actually way quieter than I would have expected. Very impressed with this grinder and if I need to purchase another one in the future I will get a Weston. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially if your dogs are on a raw diet. Makes the whole process so fast.

This meat grinder is AWESOME! I process all the wild game I harvest and this machine helps me do it with ease. Super easy to assemble, clean and powerful enough to more than get the job done. Do not settle for some weak grinder. I have been extremely impressed with this one. When I get it out to grind and process meat I know it’ll more than get the job done!

I'll start with what i dont like. First, the bin that fits on the neck (where you feed in meat) is really hard to attach and take off once you got it in. Second, i bought the tub that is sold by the same company to catch the ground meat... and it wont fit under the ejection part of the grinder.What I love! Its a beast! It will grind everything you throw at it very fast!If you have the space (footprint is a bit large) this is the best grinder ive used so far.
