The matt isn’t flat, so when I step on one side, the other side moves upwards. At this price point, I would expect better quality control.

I first bought this stone mat and it worked well. However, it did seem uneven and it would always make a loud noise when I'd step on it after the shower because it was stone slamming against the tile. Still, I bought an additional one to put in front of my sink, and I noticed that my SECOND order came with that non-slip mat that you're supposed to put under it which "evens the mat". My FIRST order didn't come with that, for some reason. Quite disappointed in myself for ordering a second one, but glad I did so I realized the error that happened with the first order. Not including non-slip mats in customer's order seems like such a preventable error that it's shocking that I see people complaining that the stone isn't even. ***It's not that it's uneven, it's that the seller just didn't include a part in your order.*** I made my orders quite a while ago but am now only writing this review hoping something can still be done to rectify the situation. 3 stars because the product itself is great, my mat is rendered troublesome because of negligence in product/quality checking.

My wife and I finished our bathroom in Mid-August and put a ton of time into researching the best bathmat to add to our new oasis. We finally settled on the Dorai Bath Stone with the Rain design in Slate. When it showed up and for the next 3 months this was one of the greatest parts of our bathroom. It is amazing at making the water disappear and has a luxurious feel under your feet when stepping out of the bathroom. This was truly loved until about a month ago when I noticed it was constantly “spinning” and showing the non-slip mat underneath which at first was not a big deal. After further inspection I noticed that it was warping and almost curling up from the edges as you can see in the video. This may not seem like a big deal but to have to constantly monitor it and put it back where it belongs only to have it spin every time you step on it is getting to be a real hassle. For the $90 price tag I would have expected to get more than 3 or 4 months of use out of it. I would like to mention that this was properly maintained by setting it up in its side (as directed in the instructions) at least once a week to let it dry out completely. I had this on my list of gifts to get family members this holiday season, but I have decided to purchase other products instead of this. I do want to highlight how awesome this thing was when initially purchased but unfortunately it did not stand the test of time.

Best thing ever

Absolutely thrilled with the quality of the Dorai bath mat. I'm someone who has never liked using a regular bath mat and this is the perfect substitute for that. It dries quickly, is easy to use, and most importantly, is cost effective in the long run since I won't need to keep replacing it every few months. Extremely happy with this purchase.
