A truly beautiful tool
When I first say this pitchfork, it reminded me of the handmade tools I inherited from my grandfather. Very solid, well made, crafted and shockingly reasonable. This is the kind of tool you could hand down from generation to generation.

Quality
this is a high quality tool, well made with a professional finish. The tool description says made of stainless steel, which it appears to be, however, the stainless is polished to be an almost food grade finish. Unbelievable! This is a lifetime tool and will be passed down.

Superior Pitchfork
Bought this pitchfork and boy am I glad I did. I looked at many others for the past few years, but this one caught my eye. Very study and yet works so well I can hardly believe it. I use it for digging potatoes or just turning soil and it's sharp, sturdy, and actually very nice looking. Worth the price, and you will not be disappointed with it.

Heirloom Quality!
This is the cream of the crop pitch fork. Wonderful design and it is easy to see it will hold up well! Husband likes it! Does exactly what he needs it to do without twisting around funny. If you've had a subpar pitch fork you'll understand what we mean. This is worth the investment!

Product broke
I bought this item less than a year ago. Used it less than 5 times before one of the times broke. Not satisfied and would like a replacement

Not Great for Gardening, But Excellent for Scaring Away Mischievous Dogs
Well, let me tell you about my experience with the Garden Fork Heavy Duty Pitchfork. I was so excited to receive this tool in the mail, as I had just moved into a new home with a large yard that was in desperate need of some TLC. When I first pulled the pitchfork out of the packaging, I have to admit, I was a bit underwhelmed. The handle was a little shorter than I had expected, and the overall weight of the tool was a bit lighter than I had hoped for. However, I decided to give it a chance and put it to work in my garden. The first thing I tried to do was turn over some soil to prepare it for planting. Well, let's just say that this pitchfork was not up to the task. The tines were too short and too thin, and they bent easily under the weight of the soil. It was like trying to dig with a toy fork! I quickly realized that this pitchfork was not meant for heavy-duty gardening work. However, I did find one use for it that was quite entertaining. My neighbor has a small dog that loves to dig holes in my yard, and I've been looking for a way to deter him from doing so. So, I started using the pitchfork to make the holes in the yard look a little less appealing to the little guy. I would stick the pitchfork in the ground and wiggle it around a bit, making it look like a giant monster was living in the hole. And you know what? It actually worked! The dog stopped digging in my yard altogether. Overall, I would give this pitchfork a 2 out of 5 stars. It's not great for actual gardening work, but it is excellent for scaring away mischievous dogs. So if you're in the market for a tool that can do both, then this might just be the perfect pitchfork for you! I can provide you with some general guidelines for choosing a pitchfork for gardening: 1. Material: Look for a pitchfork made from durable and rust-resistant materials, such as stainless steel or tempered carbon steel. Avoid pitchforks made from flimsy or brittle materials that are prone to bending or breaking. 2. Tines: Choose a pitchfork with sturdy and well-spaced tines that are strong enough to handle heavy loads of soil or compost. The tines should also be sharp enough to penetrate the soil without much effort. 3. Handle: The handle should be comfortable to grip and of a suitable length for your height. Consider a pitchfork with a wooden or fiberglass handle, as these materials are less likely to slip out of your hand than plastic. 4. Weight: The pitchfork should be lightweight enough for you to handle easily, but heavy enough to be able to dig into the soil with ease. 5. Price: Consider your budget when selecting a pitchfork. While it may be tempting to choose the cheapest option, investing in a high-quality pitchfork will save you money in the long run as it will last longer and require fewer replacements. Ultimately, the best pitchfork for gardening depends on your specific needs and preferences. Consider these factors when choosing a pitchfork, and make sure to test it out before making a final purchase.
