Simple and straight forward. I reccomend getting some flex helping hands to hold wires while soldering. I also got a cheap hdmi cable tester.

Worked exactly as stated, no issue's. Would buy again.

if you think you are going to do this on a ladder because the hdmi is broke behind your wall mount TV forget it. I have a great deal of electronics repair history and after 2 hours of trying to make it work, in a bench environment with great light, a magnifying glass and electronics vice. I can tell you that apparently there is no complete color code to follow. And you must buy a female break out and use a VOM and confirm your wires. Which in a in wall setting would mean you would have to have a very long jumper to the opposite end, and a skilled helper. (there is no reason you would do this unless it was a VERY important cable). and even then if you are not highly skilled...this will be highly frustrating. The part it self is quite nice and deserves a 5 star.

Call an electrician or just buy a new HDMI cable. It isn’t worth the pain!!
