Dark & Unusual!
The books in this series are definitely not for everyone because the mmc's are f'd up psychopaths. But they're obsessive, possessive and would do anything for the woman they love. Zita has a stable life going on, she takes care of her little brother and she's engaged to her highschool boyfriend. But an encounter with some dangerous people changes it all when the man who took her father away gives her an ultimatum- marry Nicky or let her brother get hurt. Nicky was Zita's stalker and turns out whatever he did had everything to do with her. He was smitten by her and all he ever wanted was give her everything she desired. Overall, this book was dark and unbelievable but I just couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting, though the epilogue could've been written better tbh.

Super Nicky, irritating zita
Could not help comparing it to Run Posy Run. After all it's the same world and the same trope - broken man and woman who fit with each other. But here the main female character was so irritating. Not broken but plain selfish. She just came across as a dumb, ungrateful, judgemental person. I felt the affections of Nicky wasted on Zita. She was undeserving of him.

Me encanto
Realmente no sé qué le pone esta autora a sus libros que son TAN BUENOS.Esta historia me sorprendió en muchos sentidos, todos buenos, por cierto. Nunca pensé que un libro de m@fia, st@ker, sería tan dulce.

Fabulous mental health rep
Cate C Wells can do no wrong! I was putting off reading this book for some weird reason, possibly because I loved Run, Posy, Run soooo much (despite thinking I wouldn’t), and I was worried this one wouldn’t live up to my hype. This book wasn’t quite as good as Run, Posy, Run, but it was still unputdownable! I loved how angsty it was. The mental health struggles that the heroine goes through are realistically portrayed and so visceral.Nicky was a little like Dario in the first book, but I didn’t love him quite as much (which makes sense, it’s hard to beat Dario).I also love, love, loved the subplot with the heroine’s younger sibling. Being LGBTQ+ and in the world of the mafia is very dangerous (and for the reader, so stressful!), and it was portrayed very well. Bah! This was a good book.

This. Book.
Absolutely amazingly good. “What am I supposed to do now” good. Wandering the house aimlessly, good.Nicky the Driver is a beautiful story in an ugly world, about characters that are struggling. Written incredibly well, with insight and sensitivity. By a talented author, with attention to the smallest of details, while using just the right amount of words.I’ve been known to occasionally put a pin in a book, for later, depending on a mood… not lighthearted enough, too dark, too long, too short, I haven’t read the first one, new author. A book where maybe the feels are a bit to big for the moment.Don’t do that to yourself. Don’t put a pin in Nickythe Driver. You’ll regret it. You can read this as a stand alone, you’ll miss nothing. But then, go ahead and read Posy. And then The Five Packs. And after that, there’s even more Cate C. Wells to choose from.Cate C. Wells is an author I can rely on, no matter the series, the genre, the length, the premise.5-stars just isn’t enough.

🖤 Nicky and Zita 🖤
3.5/5 stars. This was okay. Really loved Nicky but Zita was just not my type. She’s struggles with a lot and she finally decided to get help and I liked that but because of all that the story wasn’t very compelling to me.I’m excited for the next one tho
