I love this franchise
I love this franchise. I've played nearly every iteration of Wolfenstein since it was released years ago, and couldn't wait for this one to release. Haven't been disappointed, either. Gameplay is smooth and fluid, and I LOVE the fact that Bethesda hasn't added the current gaming bane lootboxes and other forms of microtransactions. Great storyline progression, and if you take the time to explore and interact with the other actors in the game, there a LOT of interesting side stories that enrich your experience. My only issue is older equipment. I'm running an Alienware 18" gaming laptop with dual Nvidia 970M processors, so peak game settings cause the game to lag and stutter a bit. I've also run into an issue where the game will crash back to the desktop on occasion, even at lower settings. Fortunately, you can save your progression wherever you are in the game (though there doesn't seem to be a Quicksave option), and the game itself saves checkpoints pretty frequently. I haven't lost much forward progress when it crashes and I forgot to manually save (which I forget regularly). Knowing Bethesda's habit of posting game updates to address such issues, I'm pretty confident there'll be patches and DLC that will fix my one issue. Weapons are pretty satisfying, as their results on your targets are pretty spectacular. There is some pretty graphic violence and gore, but this is in keeping with this game's theme and natural progression throughout it's history. Game controls are pretty straightforward (I'm using the PC version), so they're quickly learned and easy to cycle through. What I like most about this game is how it devotes a great deal of time to BJ as a person. There are plenty of flashbacks to his early life as a boy and young adult and even the previous Wolfenstein episode that offer insights to the present day protagonist. His interactions with other actors and surroundings in the game are many and varied, and add a deep and rich in-game experience. The enemies are challenging; the expected Nazis in very high-tech armor sporting very potent weapons, and some enemies are rather surprising, and difficult to kill for other reasons. I won't go into those enemies, as they represent an altogether new element in the Wolfenstein franchise, and are best left to your own discovery. All-in-all, a fantastic gaming experience and great continuation of the BJ Blazkowicz saga. Despite the crashes from my 2013 hardware, one of the best games I've played in a very long time. Great Job, Bethesda and Machine Games!

Enjoy Crazy fictional history after the WW2(lol)...
My impression of this game is 9/10.The game has annoying launching crash problem.I played this game with desktop PC.In my case, disable "steam overlay while in game option in wolfwenstein2 properties" in steam app, then it solved. The graphic performance is good enough.I played this game with GTX960_GPU, but looks nice, even "low" setting of game graphic option. This game has many of interesting tactical combat option. You can enjoy both of stealth and intense shooter combat. And,it also has funny mini game and challenging contents. Especially, I like enigma puzzle game, and commander hunting. I also like excellent immersive art and nice graphic quality of this game. Many of mechanical object show up in this game, and it has great detail and fine design. At last, about story. Previous wolfenstein has two different story line.In wolfenstein2, you can *choose both of two time line as simulation at the early in game play(*like withcer3 system). You can enjoy both of previous two time line with great character acting cut scene. The story writing is very nice! I enjoyed very much. But...I think,it's a SUPER CRAZY story. It's hilarious. Just don't expect serious story for this game.

Worked great for awhile, then crashed never to run again... Waste of money..
It was a great game for the first 50 hours of play, then after an update would no longer play. Even after attempting all the fix actions, it became useless. I really liked playing it and had completed the campaign and mini-missions before the unrecoverable crash. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game... Very disappointed.

So fun, but where is my Zombeh Mode?
These games are so much fun, the presentation, over the top story and action are top notch and attention to detail is astounding. Yea there isn't multi-player but thats in most games so you won't miss it much. Like a good book it's over before you know it and leaving you clamoring for more. It remains to be seen whether the DLC will fill that need or we have to wait another couple years for the follow on. If you are still entertained by killing over the top evil baddies (don't think I can even name them here but you know who they are) get the game, been on sale down to $25 since I bought it (full price :P) so it's decent value too. Go get 'em tiger.

About the best FPS I've played in the last 2 years
About the best FPS I've played in the last 2 years. If you are dissatisfied with COD WW2 try this game, you will not be disappointed. Update: While I still believe this to be one of the best FPS games of recent years, I did encounter a problem. After the final Boss fight when I meet up with General the game crashed. File was corrupt so I couldn't reload my progress. My suggestion to other game players is to make frequent use of the save feature and not depend on auto save.

Very dissapointed
I guess I should have read the reviews as I found out later this is a streaming game and before I could even see a single frame of the game I had to wait almost 2 hours to down load the game and another 90 minutes for the update, and then finally my first look and I have to sit through some 30+ minutes of a past story about what has happened. I did learn that is I insert certain coding I can run right to shooting Nazi's but first I need to improve y current Video card if I wat to see the best gameplay possible. I am not returning this product as it was my fault to not research this further tho Amazon should have displayed more data about how the game works . I may improve my video card at a later date and then perhaps I can enjoy the game as was intended. If this is how all games are handled now I guess I will just forget buying other games of interest.

Uneven difficulty. First game was better. It does run fantastic on AMD hardware unlike the first game. But the random difficulty makes the game so much less fun. I like a challenge, yes. But I like a balanced challenge. One that rewards observation and skill. Not cheap and unfair enemies.

The game wouldn't run. I saw many possible fixes on the internet but none worked. A complete waste of time and money.
