Halo Holistic Adult Dog Vegan Plant-Based Recipe with Superfoods 3.5 lb Bag

My dog loves the taste. It is the right softness and size for my 19 pound Chipit dog. It is a good quality food and I love that it is Vegan, so no animals have been tortured or harmed in any way just to feed my dog.This food has all that our dogs need. I mix it with two tablespoons of Halo's canned dog food just to please my dog. I also put a bit of this in with a can of Halo's canned dog food for my neighbor's dog five days each week and he loves it. I highly recommend Halo dog food, canned and dry.

My dog loves this! This is the first dry food that my dog runs to when it's time to eat. He has really bad allergies & this is blend doesn't trigger any inflammation or itching. There isn't a strong smell & I would say is worth the money if you're looking for a plant-based allergy friendly blend. He's been eating this blend for a while now & hasn't had any stomach or nutritional issues - Highly recommend!

We switched all four of our chihuahuas over to the Halo Holistic Plant-Based Recipe with Superfoods recently, and it’s been a smooth transition across the board. Two of them actually started on this formula when they were puppies, so it made sense to move the older two over as well once we saw how well it was working.One of our biggest concerns was whether our pickier eaters would accept it, but all four took to it immediately — no mixing with other foods, no hesitation at mealtime. The kibble is the perfect size for little mouths, and it has a fresh, natural smell that’s a lot more pleasant than other plant-based brands we’ve tried.Since switching, we’ve noticed steady energy levels, shiny coats, and no upset stomachs or digestive issues, which is always a win with small breeds. It’s still a little early to comment on the long-term benefits, but we’re very happy with how they’re doing so far.I also really appreciate the quality of the ingredients — real, whole foods and added superfoods without a lot of fillers or junk. Even the packaging is thoughtfully designed with a sturdy, resealable closure to keep everything fresh.So far, it’s been a great experience, and we feel good knowing we’re giving them a plant-based option that doesn’t compromise on nutrition.

Doesn’t smell bad, dog seems to love it.

Before I was paying the same amount of money for another brand of dog food that was making my dog sick and itchy. After trying virtually everything to figure out what the problem was, I came across a Reddit post that said to try vegetarian food. In the beginning, she did not eat it much - but now she loves it and eats it more than any other dog food I’ve bought her.This was a blessing to find this brand. I can visibly see my dog happier, healthier, and more agile. There is nothing worse than watching your dog suffer and not knowing why. This dog food ended her suffering.The only downside (for me) is that she poops more often. Which, is seemingly a good thing, but should consider adjusting walking times.

After more than 4 years of ingesting this food, my small breed rescue pooch has made, AND maintained, a REMARKABLE recovery from being a 10 lb underweight malnourished, and otherwise health neglected being! I do feed him a rotation of other vegan foods as well. Variety's of the utmost importance, for many reasons, including staving off developing allergies to any single food. Not only has this food proven to me to be safe and effective, providing all & more of the canine dietary essentials, it's one of the very few dry foods that incorporates Selenium Yeast INSTEAD OF Sodium Selenite!!! Check those two out and compare, for your loved one's safety/health!! I tend to soak kibble (in water that tests clear of detrimental contents) more than not, and mix in other beneficial ingredients -- NOT simply rely on dry kibble bits day in and day out! That'd be torture on multiple levels, even for canines, who tend not to stop and chew most food, thus not generally taste it. (But aroma, that's another thing!) My fur baby's even spunkier, and with a sheeny shiney coat, moist cool nose, sparkly eyes...even more so now than when he was HALF his present age! I'd say this base nutrition has done a LOT to help GET him there AND KEEP him there!

Gave it 4 stars cuz my dog is not fond of just veggies so I have go mix with something meat. But I just ordered it again and will just continue to add a meat item to it.
