NEVER put wood in the dishwasher. It needs to retain it's moisture. The heat will crack the board. Hand wash with soapy warm water and mineral oil regularly.

What's the purpose of the hole in your gourmet steak plate?

Can this be used to hold hot items? the last time i had an acacia board serving tray. the hot items i put onto it imparted an odd flavor to the food.

I mostly use it for steak with mushrooms and onions + baked potatoes. No problem. From time to time I treat with mineral oil. Very happy with the product.

Where's the no slip grill shown in the video?

This is not a cutting board it’s used as a plate for steaks, meat like Ribeyes, New York, Sirloin, Salad & much more and it doesn’t slip from your table.
