2Pcs ShareGoo Steel CVD Drive Shaft Dogbone Joint Compatible with Tamiya TT01 TT02 TA04 1/10 RC Car

Bought these universals for the rear diff drive shaft of my TT02 that I use for stock racing. The item worked well when it was new but after a few months (maybe around 10 race meets), the pin started to eat into, and severely wear out, the CVD axle and the car becomes squirrelly when accelerating, especially coming out of a turn. Seems that the cvd axle is not hardened compared to the Tamiya ones because I also have another TT02 that is much older that I still run/race that has the Tamiya universals in the rear and they are still working fine and no sign of wear. These knock offs are cheaper but will not last like the Tamiya ones. I am ordering a Tamiya replacement set.

Tolerances are lousy, set screw for pin came loose in 5 minutes, tightening and threadlocking the set screw only lasted 10 minutes the tolerances are so bad it vibrated loose

I wanted to give these a shot even with the poor reviews but boy was I mistaken. As others have mentioned, tolerances on these are terrible which will lead to tons of slop. These are on their way back.

Tried to install these on my tt01 carbon clone and the dogbone end was too small of a diameter. Might work for the real tt01. Not sure

The internal cross joint is too small for the swing shaft. Has about 1mm gap all around, causes binding and clicking noise. This completely defeats the point of a CVD/Universal Joint.
