It's not for all models of sabers.
We ordered a basic saber from DSI too. It doesn't fit. We can't use it.

OK idea but poor design.
Does not fit my Excaliber 39" sabre properly. It is too wide to fit the thinnest curved part of the hilt and gaps terribly there. The end of the guard where the Velcro strips are, does not fit the top of the sabre snugly enough and pops off fairly quickly when you do routine work. Got this as a gift and would not recommend buying it.
