Brilliant. Literally.
Watched YouTube reviews of best helmet light for mountain biking; this came highly recommended by a vlogger in US. The price was $20, so it's a bit more here in the UK. However, the unit is small, well made, aluminium, feels solid. The beam is extremely bright, I do not know how such a tiny single Led can produce such a light. It has a nice beam pattern, a wider spread than most. It would make a very good main beam mounted on the bars, but I already have the Solarstorm X3 on my bars. Because the X3 is a more focused spot, it would probably be better on my helmet but it didn't have a mount. If I did not already have the X3 (which is also a very good light and cheaper) I would probably just buy 2 of these instead. The advantage of these over the Solarstorm type is the ability to charge via USB, Eg in the vehicle, or use a power bank to directly run the light. The X3 battery pack can only be charged by mains. The only slight niggle is there is only 3 modes: high, low, strobe. The strobe is very fast and uses the high setting, imho way too bright for urban use and obviously useless on the trail. The kit comes with a bar mount which actually screws on (not a rubber band like the X3) and a helmet mount which is go pro / action camera compatible. Although I bought my X3 for less than £10, I think it is worth Spending the extra to get the convenience of the USB charging.

Bright and good value
I have been very pleased with this light. I am using my cycle on roads and cycle paths for daily commuting. I particulaly wanted a light that was bright enough illuminate a cycle path which is separated a short distance from an unlight road with cars coming in the opposite direction with their lights on. This light does well. It provides a good light even on the lower light setting. The battery life is good. My commute is about an hour each way and since I have had the light I have only needed it on in the evening. I think I have had to recharge it about once a week. A nice feature is a very obvious red light on top of it which comes on when it needs re-charging and does so with at least an hour of ruuning in the lower contiously on setting. The red light stays on even when the main lamp is turned off so reminding me that it needs recharging. There are a couple of small negatives: First the on/off button is difficult ot operate with gloves on. Secondly the light fitting does not allow thr light to be turned to the side - not a problem for me, but should be bourne in mind if it is to be used on handlbars where the fitting point would not allow the light to point forward.

Great light, especially for the money
I bought this light for early rides and as a backup to my main light for off road night riding. I've been very positively surprised by how bright it is to the point where I use it as my only light on road and even off road if I'm not going to be riding anything too technical. The button works with a nice tactile click to cycle through the modes : high, low, flashing, offRun time on high is at least two hours and charge time is about 4 hours from flat.I've only done one wet ride with it but it worked fine in that and no signs of any problems with waterproofing. The only minus and why I have only given 4 stars is that the handlebar mount isn't great - it's 35mm which means it will fit pretty much any handlebar but the supplied rubber spacers / shims don't work for a 31.8 bar so I had to fit my own - not a big problem but not perfect. I'd have given 4.5 stars of I had the option. The helmet mount works well and that's what I'm now tending to use. I note that you can buy a separate Shenkey universal mount which looks better than the standard one.Definitely well worth the money and highly recommended 👍

the light looks well made and is nice and bright
I'm going to update my review to 5 stars. The touch sensitive button works fine if you just lick the finger of your glove. More so though, the light fell off today because I hadn't clipped it in properly. About 5 cars drove directly over it. Barely a scratch on it, the light stayed on the entire time, wasn't broken and worked fine afterwards. Awesome! No doubt about it, the light looks well made and is nice and bright. Bar mount seems solid enough. The reason I've given three stars (and I should have realised from the picture), is that the on/off/cycle switch is touch sensitive. You need to touch it with your finger rather than with gloves on. Given that most lights will be sold here for use in the UK in winter, a light that can't be cycled through it's functions without taking your glove off is a bit poor. It should be clear in the description.

really great bike light
I don't usually leave reviews but I've had bad luck with bike lights (mainly battery issues) in the past 10 years or so cycling in London and this light deserves a review! This light is really fantastic. Strong beam and battery life is pretty good. If you have it on the second, slightly lighter beam it uses less battery life but is absolutely sufficient to see and be seen. Thoroughly happy I purchased as is a steal at this price. Highly recommended

Bright Light - Perfect for commuting
Bright Light - Perfect for commuting, really lights up the road and excels if you ever take dark paths. This light makes sure you are seen and can see. So good I bought it twice. The only minor issue is the recharge light comes on after 3-4 trips (12km / 30 mins each trip). I assume this because of the volume of light emitted, which is great for I bike light. I've definitely noticed cars do not pull out as often from side roads when using this light.

Fantastic little torch
Brought this a couple of months ago for riding to and from work.Battery has a good life span for my 2 hours a day riding.I charge it every 3 days . It is bright for saying it is a little light. The weather hasn't bothered it I even jetwashed my bike with it still attached to which the light function was not effected.Would recommend
