LodgeYellowstone Skillet 12"

Great price for a solid Lodge cast iron skillet, not too fussed about Yellowstone branding although it does look good on the base of the pan. Once seasoned should last a life time but bear in mind it is very heavy.

Fantastic cast iron pan, gave it a quick rinse and season before first use. No issue with any food sticking so far, retains heat well, provides the type of searing you want from a cast iron. Looks and feels like a high quality skillet, using it for all sorts very versatile both in oven and on hob.It is quite heavy though and so large it slightly overlaps a couple of rings on my hob. But well worth the investment.

Nice cast iron pan. No issues, no problems.I make rice dishes in it, frying potatoes, steaks, and even pancakes - this pan can handle anything, and no Teflon coating in sight! Yes, please!

Had this since last year and it's absolutely a top quality piece of kitchen hardware. Never going back to chemical coated frying pans. If your new to this then it's simple to learn how to wash it and maintain it.

This skillet will last me until my end of days, and my children, and my children’s children. The quality is simply superb ; the heat distribution and retention is remarkable. It needs treated properly, as in cleaned and dried and oiled ( I use avocado oil for its high heat capabilities). The more it’s used the better it ‘cures’ - can be used for all cooking types, including induction and in a hot oven + on a bbq or even an open fire. Cooking anything ; Frying ; Baking = it’s brilliant at baking bannock or bread. My favourite pan..

Brilliantly made and really strong. You get what you pay for and this shows here as it is far superior to your generic nameless supermarket stuff. Connecting it to the Yellowstone franchise with tasteful decoration just adds to it, and it is at home as much on the wall as decoration as it is being used for cooking

The pan is quite large and heavy, I would have preferred the 10" skillet but I didn't like the design. I've never watched the TV show associated with the design, I just wanted a well made cast iron skillet.Very important criticism is towards the packaging. The skillet was simply placed in a box with a bit of scrap packaging paper which was not suitable packaging. I'm unhappy with how it was packaged and would have returned it for another skillet because there's a tiny chip on the skillet which I suspect could be from the poor packaging. Unfortunately, I can't return it because its shipped from USA and I have no patience to return a heavy pan to the USA. So I'll keep the skillet and hope the chip does not affect food. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't poorly packaged. Lodge should package their cookware more appropriately, I'm not the only customer to criticise their packaging.

Love this frying pan! Sick of these rubbish non sick pans that only last a year or two!!
