RANVOO iPhone 8 Plus Case, Slim Fit Thin Hard Stylish Cover 3 in 1 Detachable Case [Support Wireless Charging], Black [Clip-ON Series]

Aesthetically, I think this product looks pretty nice and slick. Structurally, I have my doubts if the case would survive a drop test. I am an industrial designer and its my job to pay attention to design and structural detail. There are no material used for this product that would indicate to me that the case has some kind of shock resistance feature. The back plate of the item is a bent metal plate and the top and bottom pieces seem to be just some kind of polymer (plastic). To me, this really doesn't scream "WOW" as far as material/structural technology. There is one major flaw regarding the design that I have to point out. The charging opening, the bottom of the case, is too small to properly fit an aftermarket lighting charging cable. The solid housing of the charging tip is a bit larger then the hole on the case. This caused the cable to barely have charging capability. However, whenever you slightly move the case, during charging, the cable is disconnected from the iPhone charging port. I had to use a small file to open up the hole a bit more. Luckily, I have a small file around the house to do this. Unfortunately, if you are one of those people who doesn't have a lot of random tools laying around the house, this design flaw will be a bit of a hassle for you when you go plugging your phone in the night before only to find out the day after that may have just gotten 1/2, 1/3 or even 3/4 of a charge on your battery. Considering how a lot of people nowadays are buying aftermarket charging cables, the maker of this item ((should)) really consider fixing this particular part of the product's design. I would suggest this case to people but that small charging hole issue can potentially lead to a frustrating major issue for a lot of people.

This is a fantastic case for the iPhone 8+. I feel like I don’t even have a case on it’s so well fit and thin. That being said, because it is so thin, it is not as protective as a more robust case might be. This case is a companion to the Otterbox case that I bought when first purchasing this phone. I bought this case to have a case that was more fashionable while going out etc. iIt is very stylish and looks fantastic. If you are looking for a truly protective case then look elsewhere, if you are looking for a very stylish well fitting case then this is for you. I like having the choice of using the right case I need st the time that I need it.

I ordered 4 different cases to compare protection, durability, bulkiness, and color. Needed for a teal color for work purpose. This case definitely met my expectations as far as durability, color, and slimness. I loved that it was easy to put on and easy to take off yet fit snug. The color is beautiful and it's slim enough to fit inside tight pockets; exactly what I was looking for. However, I have a raised screen protector which comes out further than the case covers so I am worried that my phone will not get enough protection if dropped. If it weren't for my raised screen protector, this case would've been a keeper. Beautiful case!

Dropped my phone and the bottom gold part of the case broke off and the bottom of my screen shattered. Very upsetting. Got the case June 11 and didn't last more then one month. Worst thing is that my phone screen cracked. Now I have to pay $49 to At&t for repairs. Very upsetting.

3rd time I’ve bought this case in the past couple years and I highly recommend. It’s the perfect gripping texture to avoid dropping it. It’s not slippery and not sticky like rubber cases. I love the colors offered. Fits iPhone 8+ perfectly. If you drop your phone on a hard surface, don’t be shocked if the top or bottom piece of the case cracks, it’s happened to all these cases I’ve bought, but it will protect your phone which I think is the point. Will buy again.

Customer Service is 5 Stars, promptly responded and gave resolution with many suggestions along the way. Very satisfied with the customer service. Phone case itself is more like a 4 for me. The case is advertised as full protection, however, there was just not enough of "full protection" as the lip on the front of the phone cases the screen to still touch the surface you lay it on, thus, in my opinion not exactly full protection. This case has a slight rubbery feel to it, and looks sleek and sharp on the iphone 8plus and the gold trim accent is a nice touch. It's a little difficult to put the case on, but I do not feel like that is a bad thing as it is certainly sturdy and will not fall off the phone.

I have to say, one of the greatest things about an iphone is the way it feels to hold it, just the phone, the big bulky cases are just that, this case is very tight, fits perfectly over my phone, no problems with the power button or volume buttons on the sides ! Ive already dropped it a few times however, dropping it on the side or back, no problem, theres not much of a lip on the front, im a little nervous about that, other than that, i love this case !! It fits in my pocket so much easier than with a big bulky case & feels great to hold ! If they make a case for the next upgrade from the 8plus, I’ll definitely buy it !!

My go to has always been glider cases like the CaseCrown but they haven't made one that fits the new 8plus yet so I tried this case. I like this case, its like the glider cases: hard case thats slim and fits snug. Its very sleek.But, I returned it because there's no raised lip on the front of the phone. The iphone 8 plus' glass front is a bit raised above its edge, so while this clicks right on the edge of the case to create a slim profile, if you drop this phone on its face it will surely crack the screen. If you are someone who never drops their phones and just needs something for scratch protection, this is fine. But if you like being able to put your phone face down and/or need there to be somewhat of a raised lip, I would not get this case.
