I have a 1991 Ford Mustang and converted all the lights to LEDs. I knew about the hyper flash problem due to the low power draw of LEDs and purchased replacement flashers for both the hazard and turn signal from another retailer. Everything worked fine except that I’m very used to hearing an audible click with activation of turn signal or hazards and so the silence was deafening. Mostly, I didn’t want to look like an idiot driving down the road with the flashers is going off! I actually tried to hotwire in a relay, but the way the circuit is set up the relay was constantly being triggered, even when the flashers and turn signals were off. But from that I learned that a ground wire must be necessary to make this change and saw this unit with the extra wire and hoped it would work. It works perfectly and makes appropriate noise. FYI, for the fox body Mustangs you need two of these one for the hazards which is in the fuse box area, and the other on the other side of the console for the turn signals - the turn signal one does have reverse polarity so you’ll need to account for that but otherwise these flashers work for both. Very happy with the purchase!
