Rough Country 87150 Red Shock Boot

Perfect fit for Rough Country shocks, and the included SS clamps is of better quality than expected and the price was right. These went onto shocks for a 2004 Wrangler kit that was on the Jeep when I bought it. The previous owner(s) didn't install any boots for some reason, and I'm not sure if they were included with the kit originally. I tend to think of them as reasonable investments, though I know some people complain about them trapping water. When installed right, they do the job. The previous owner(s) short-cut a few things, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were included with the kit and simply not installed. These were pretty easy to install on the front shocks due to them being simple post style. The rear shocks used a crossbar, which complicate the install and required me to press the bar aside enough to work the boot over them. The polyurethane material did a great job of stretching and not tearing. These are a typical PU style boot that should last several years. The stainless steel bands should also last a long time. The black color was well suited for this installation.

I bought along with new shocks. They were easy to install and look great. They seem like the fit well and should protect the shocks from dirt and debris. You can't beat the price, even if they are just for looks.
