Super excited to get this vacumm!! Lightweight, easy to use, great suction and love the extra pieces! i wish it stayed charged longer, but helps me also to slow down hahha mounted to wall in laundry room hangs nicely and out of the way! This has been an awesome vacummn for carpet and kitchen floor and the extra heads to use on my stairs and couch! love this vacumm so much!!!

I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You'll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge. Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it's gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year. Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I'm still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful.

I'm only five feet tall. An upright vacuum is a lot of vacuum for me. I also have asthma and migraines, so between vacuums kicking up dust and the noise, it's a challenge to vacuum. I love this one because it doesn't make as much noise as an upright, and I'm done in about half the time. Dyson's are also the absolute best vacuums for asthma/allergies because they don't kick up dust. I have cats and I have a lot of hair, and this one gets their hair up and gets mine up without it tangling around the brush, which has always been an issue with other vacuums. Love that I can convert this to a handheld and vacuum up my car. Charging does take a while, so I usually charge it, move onto something else, and then come back to vacuuming. Overall though, super happy with this purchase; this is now my primary vacuum.

Total waste of money. I should have paid attention to the 1-star reviews and given it a thorough workout before the return window of ONLY ONE MONTH expired. And my call to Dyson was fruitless. The "40 minute run time" is a joke, if not a flat-out lie. I'm lucky to get 15 minutes of run time out of it. And then it takes HOURS to charge. But hey, one benefit of the short run time is that my trigger finger can recover — you have to depress the trigger the whole time you are using it, which is painful — it doesn't just click on and off like MOST VACUUMS. The dust canister is a nightmare to remove from the handle/battery assembly, and right now I can't even get it back together. And it works well only on floors or very low-pile carpets. Forget about it if you have a deeper pile carpet. It just gets stuck in place to the carpet. Powerful suction, but otherwise useless, and in my opinion a piece of plastic garbage. I am stunned that a Dyson vacuum is THIS BAD, especially one that cost so much. I purchased this to replace another brand that was recalled. I have no idea why it was recalled, but my older cordless vacuum worked much better, the battery lasted much longer, took much less time to charge, and clicked on and off, so I did not have to hold the trigger in the whole time I was using it. Also, my previous vacuum had a battery that removed from the unit for charging. This Dyson battery is built into the handle/canister unit, so I can't even try ordering a replacement battery. Absolute waste of my money.

I purchased this vacuum for my hair salon. I was looking for a cordless option, lightweight, and very powerful. I've had this vacuum for just over a month and here's the pros and cons. Pros. It REALLY sucks. It has a great suction to it, making vacuuming up rouge hair and dirt almost addictive. I like how it comes apart to empty the dust collection, and I really think it's designed to be lightweight- although I'll come back to that in the cons. I love the option to hang it on the wall for storage and charging(this is NOT a free standing vacuum)- will circle back to that in the cons as well! .It comes with 3 different attachment that are easy to change. They are on the smaller side, but honestly I like them for vacuuming out the furnace vent cover, or getting hair out of the salon chairs/dryer chairs. I also like to use it for a quick vacuum in the vehicles when they are looking gross. Now for the Cons. The biggest, most frustrating part of this vacuum is the dang battery life. Upon initial purchase, I fully charged the vacuum. I was very patient with making sure it was charged so I could get an idea of battery life. Boy was I so disappointed. The battery barely lasted for 1/4th of the salon. And I'm not vacuuming up piles of hair. This is for once a week use, maybe touchup on the waiting area use. I'm not dilly dallying around vacuuming. Ixm there to clean and move on woth my lifem The original battery is terrible. Fortunately they make battery adapters for RIDGED and Ryobi batteries. I purchased one for the RIDGED off of Ebay. With that i still have to use a HuGE battery for it, which adds to the weight, and now with the new battery adaptor it will not hang on the cute charging/storage hanger. The trigger is also one that has to be manually held, so their is some fatigue after doing the entire salon. With all of this being said, I do love it (with the adapter and large battery) for the salon. It does a great job, but please be ready to make some modifications if you do decide to purchase this vacuum.

I bought this Dyson V8 as an addition to my upright Hoover that I've had for years. I've always wanted to try one but they're so expensive. This was a great prime deal. I wanted a handheld unit for some of the more difficult areas to get into like the cat tower and nooks and crannies. I tried it on the cat tower and was super impressed. The suction was really great and the accessories included were great. They are so easy to swap in and out. I let it charge overnight and then went to use it on the rest of the house. I have some shag carpet, a rug, standard carpet and tiles. It work great on all of them. I found the max mode later and used it on my area rug to deep clean it. I was impressed. Then I realized I can use it with my car! I can't wait to clean my car. I have a vacuum for my car but it's terrible and I know this will be better. Cleaning the vacuum itself is also very easy. One of my biggest issues with my upright is it's such a pain to open the canister to empty it. This one is so easy. Also, my upright is pretty loud and this one is so much quieter. I was very happily surprised. It's been so great so far and it's going to replace two vacuum cleaners. I'm not using my upright anymore. I bought four more accessories as well to make it even more flexible. Charging it is very easy and the wall charging mount is very useful. I haven't mounted it yet but I will later. I'm extremely pleased, especially with the prime deal that I got and couldn't be happier with my purchase.
