Excellent in the right use cases but not for everyone
I've used spinners before and they are very good at getting a lot of excess water out, quiclky and cheaply. They are not however a substitute for a trumble drier. This one is quieter than ones ive used before and does not dance around the floor like some of the cheaper versions. With sensible loading it does not clang when spinning up unlike some of the ones ive used in camp site laundries. The load size is ok for me, using a 7lb washing machine. If full to the brim then i tend to do it as two loads. Families will need to routinely do two or more loads for a larger washing machine.Synthetics and thiner materials come out close to dry. Thicker heavier materials like cotton and especially towels still retain a fair amount of water. If you are someone who washes athletic gear regularly then this is ideal. Your running gear will be ready to ware by the next morning. If you are looking at more general purpose use then it will roughly halve the time you need to run the tumble drier which is an overall cost saving but will cost you more in time and inconvenience. If you are someone who hand washes clothes then this will remove massivley more than hand wringing to the externt that the supplied catch tray will overflow very quickly and you will need to place a bigger bowl under the outlet. Also true if you decide to turn off the spin on the washing machine. I leave mine on a short 600 spin to get the bulk out. I dont find you end up any drier by using the 1200 rpm washing machine spin or doing second runs in the 2400 rpm spinner. In good weather you may as well go straight to the line and leave it there longer. If you need to use a dryer then this will save time and money for a little effort. In short, this gets small loads a lot drier than a washing machine spinner and significantly reduces drying times but will not remove a final dry on the line or in a tumble drier. Would stronlgy recomend for singles or couples in a flat.

It's brilliant
After reading the reviews I was dubious about buying this spinner but I went ahead and did it any way. Then because I didn't want to be disappointed, it sat in it's box for a week before I used it. In fact, in it's two boxes. It comes well packaged. Extracting it, on my own, keeping the boxes intact in case I had to return it, was the hardest part. (I leaned it over and cut the bottom seal, opened the flaps and lifted the box up and off the inner box, and the same for the next box, if anyone's wondering)And so there it sat, somewhat larger than I had imagined it to be, but considering it, I don't really see how it could have been any smaller. I hand washed a few items and put them in as per instructions, put the blue pot under the spout and turned it on. OMG it worked to perfection. The supplied blue pot is not big enough, I'm just using an old mealworm tub that holds 5 liters. It's stable, fairly quite and only takes five mins Max.My spun clothes are air drying overnight indoors with no extra heating although as winter comes I'm sure I'll have to light the fire.I've used it now about 15 times with no problems. I don't have leaky feet as in some reviews, I didn't have any faults to mention about it at all.Would I but it again? Hopefully it will last a long time and I won't have to but if it lasts a year I'd be happy and yes I'd buy another based on it's performance so far.

This spin dryer gets out a lot of water.
What struck me most was how quiet this spinner was compared to my old one, Also how much water came out and that a fleece felt dry and the fact I could put these clothes on a rack and by the end of the evening near a radiator the were dry. The other good thing is if you go off and forget it while it is going it will shut down and stop mmmm very impressed. So yes, Buy it you will like it....

Quiet and Efficient
My old spinner (which was much dearer) was giving so much trouble with thumping, scarily loud rattling or not getting started at all, that I decided on a new one. I chose this one because of the rave reviews.Getting it out of its packaging was a struggle but, once set up, it is working beautifully. It is quiet and very efficient and gets more water out of the clothes and faster, too than my previous one. If you haven't used a spinner before, don't overload, put heaviest stuff at the bottom and press down with the mat before spinning. The spinner is neat and good-looking.In short, I am delighted. It is early days of course but the old one was not this good at any time.

Flimsy lid broken after one spin
The switch to turn on the spinner felt quite fragile and I was concerned for it's longevity but the product worked well.Washing does need to be compacted to minimise wobbling and a firm hand was required to keep it still as it got up to full spin speed. At full speed it was quiet and didn't move at all and I was pleased whilst it worked.Unfortunately after unloading my laundry the lid did not "click" so did not close. At the second attempt something rattled and fell into the casing, presumed to be the part that keeps the lid closed.Returned for refund after one day and one use.Return was hassle free but disappointed in the product.
