This is a very simple and easy to use device to make your own resin cast mold if you are a beginner. It is definitely not perfect for it does create a good seal along the edges. The mold unfortunately does not have a tight seal bottom so the resin can actually spill out of the bottom so be aware of that when pouring. Make sure you do this outside and on top of a surface that is easy to remove resin off of. That being said, It is a very basic device. The binder clips provide a good solid seal to help maintain the side. It is customizable so you can make different sizes with the molding. It is pretty easy to peel the sides off of the resin once it has been cured. It is definitely a bit of a learning curve. I found the best results is to pour a foundation first to get a proper bottom so you can keep the resin from spilling out the bottom and ruining the mold but use your best judgment. The plastic edges are very easy to clean up and remove once the resin has cured. I have yet to have issues where it was really stuck to the resin. It may take a little force to take some off but not much. The white is easily yellowed so if you happen to leave this in the sun to cure just be aware of that. I personally do not mind that. It does make a decent mold for what I need. I was able to make a few keycaps and buttons with this. It is not perfect but again it is great for me as a beginner. The instructions are there but it is pretty easy to setup. Overall I think these are solid pieces, they make decent beginner molds, and it is easy to remove. I just wish it had a better base so it did not leak out of the bottom as much. It is a bit of trial and error when working with this.

This product is amazing. Very durable and does not leak if you use the correct methods. I like making molds of miniatures for dioramas and dice and this system has yet to fail me. I highly recommend using either vinyl transfer tape, or good self laminating sheets as the base of your mold and make sure there are no bubbles to get a good seal. Then hot glue around the outside edges. But the real trick to making it leak proof is using the tape it comes with on the connecting pieces rather than the bottom. It is still very easy to clamp the pieces together even with the double sided tape on them. By using this method, I have not had a single mold leak.

This is a simple mold that fits together tightly and doesn’t leak. I’m subtracting one star because it did not come with double-sided tape as advertised, and it would be nice if there were some smaller pieces included to allow more flexibility in mold size. The object I am creating a mold of is exactly 4 by 4 inches, so I had to go with a 6 x 6 inch square, which used more silicone than I felt was needed.

I love all Nicpro products and this mold making housing is made from high quality material that's quick to assemble, comes with strong double sided tape, strong clips and detailed instructions. I've tried other brands, and regretted it immediately! The pieces fit perfect into each other also add in the double sided tape and clips and never worry about leakage again! If you're looking for a high quality product that's priced perfectly, you must try this one.

I was anxious to see if the mold frame was going to leak. It held steadfast with no issues at all. I’m very pleased!

I bought this as to make molds for my many resin projects and am so glad I did. Before I was using repurposed dishes to house the molds but it was proving to be not the best of ideas. This mold housing made my life so much easier as it is resizeable to a certain degree and made getting the mold out so much easier. It came with the side pieces and the clips as well as double sided tape to place on the bottom of the side pieces so they stick down and don't allow the liquid to leak out from underneath the mold housing. This was a great investment and I have already gotten so much use out of it and forsee plenty more in the future.

I ordered two but have only used one. Put together well enough. Used a level, flat, melamine platter as the bottom. Also used their tape on bottom. Tried a small pour and no leaks. Finished my pour and slow leaks in several spots. I had the glue gun ready but didn’t really want to mess everything up with hot glue if not needed. Used a mini gun. Really hard to get a thin stip all around the outside curves with the clamps in the way. You can’t glue it if it isn’t clamped. Stopped the leak but took some effort and more product. My biggest complaint is that I’m having a super hard time getting the glue off the plastic casing. It’s impossible to get it perfectly clean. Not sure I’ll ever use it again. Should not have bought two.

This modular mold base is excellent. Great value.

Amazing product with NO leakage whatsoever if you us it properly. I fixed the base to an acetate sheet and not directly to the floor or any uneven surface and I garanty you that your mold will come out flawless. Definitely recommend and will purchase some more !

Used only once and half of silicone oozed out but it’s most likely operators error. I did see it used on YouTube and worked very well.
