I am a woman who experiences a great deal of joint pain due to a lack of estrogen in my body. I take one of these capsules (1,000 mg) every night, and it reduces the pain just as well as an over-the-counter pain medicine. I would much rather take the Turmeric than take Aleve every night for the rest of my life! I have tried other brands and they simply did not work. The research I've read said that you must take at least 1,000 mg for it to work. It also must have black pepper to aid in absorption, and very few fillers. YouTheory's Turmeric fits these qualifications and it works. HOWEVER, some of the YouTheory labels say to take 2 capsules, which would increase your intake to 2,000 mg. I tried this for a few months. I did see some increased benefit in pain reduction (as opposed to just taking 1 capsule), but I started bruising very easily. Eventually I experienced a burst blood vessel in my eye, which is a normal occurrence for me. But this time a very large sac of blood formed in my eye because my blood was very slow to clot. It protruded from under my eyelid while my eye was open and affected my peripheral vision. I had to see multiple eye doctors, who could only give me eye drops and tell me to stop taking so much Turmeric. After a week the condition improved and went away. I do not take any blood thinners, nor was there any other reason for this blood sac to form. Once I went back to taking 1 capsule, the bruising also went away. So I believe 2 capsules, or 2,000 mg is too strong of a dose for most people as it definitely thinned my blood and created clotting issues.

Works well. I have been using for over a year. I take it before bed.

I've been using this brand for several years now, generally picking it up in a local grocery or pharmacy chain store. A big plus for this brand is that it has piperine extract which a pharmacist told me is needed for the body to better absorb the Turmeric. Saw it here on Amazon, better price, quick delivery, yadda-yadda-yadda. I didn't give the product 5 stars because there is one difference from the store-version; the store-version seems to have a coating on the tablet which helps me to swallow the tablet without any drama. The bottle I received from my order here doesn't seem to have coated tablets so if I don't swallow it on the first try, I literally have to choke it down while it starts to dissolve in my mouth. Just a 'heads-up.' Otherwise no complaints.

Seems to be a very good product

This actually works! Before taking this, I had been experiencing severe arthritis pain in both my knees for several years to the point to where I stopped almost all physical activity and came home every night after work in tears. A personal trainer recommended this product to me. At first I was skeptical, but I was in so much pain I would try just about anything. After about 3 weeks, my pain was almost gone. After about a month, I was pain free. I've been to several doctors, and none of them recommended this to me, I wish someone had told me about this before. I was buying this from Costco, but they stopped selling the Advanced formula and now only carry the Extra Strength (ES) formula, which costs much more. So I switched to the ES formula and after a couple weeks, the pain started coming back. The difference between this formula and the ES formula, is that the ES has more than twice the amount of turmeric, but less black pepper (which is used to activate the curcuminoids) and no olive oil extract. I am now buying this from Amazon, and very happy with this product.

I first tried the Youtheory Turmeric as a sample I received from a health expo. I didn't think that I had issues with inflammation until I tried the sample packs. All of a sudden I noticed that my feet were less puffy and also in my fingers. Apparently I had some inflammation after all. I quickly ordered a bottle from Amazon. I'm on my 4th or 5th bottle now. I used to have minor aching upon rising which I thought was just normal after having a long day. I still have long days but no more aches since taking the turmeric. Because of the price I did try another brand but I gave it away and came right back to Youtheory. It's just worth it. A must have for inflammation. I take the recommended 3 a day.. sometimes just 2 depending on how I feel. I also watch what I'm eating if I feel the need to take more than 3 (no more than 4 per day). Diet control goes a long way!

Having been a regular user of the Youtheory Turmeric Curcumin supplement in capsule form, I recently decided to give the tablet version a try. However, the transition was not as smooth as expected. The tablets are significantly larger, requiring me to take three at once, which is quite challenging for me to swallow comfortably. While I appreciate the benefits of the supplement, the tablet size has made the experience less enjoyable compared to the capsules. In the future, I'll be sticking to the capsule form for its ease of consumption.
