I love how much space is given my cat to jump up and down and sit comfortably while eating. This shelf feels very sturdy; of course, attaching it to the wall well also helps. It is quite beautiful.My daughter told me that it was not the easiest to assemble but she made it work without much concern.I appreciate that the wood does not appear or feel as though it has a finish on it to protect it from moisture. To that end, I would not keep this outside, even under cover. I am just concerned it will warp when the cat spills her water.This product is quite expensive but worth the purchase if you are not strapped for money.

After 3 years of feeding my cats with the dogs, the dogs decided to start eating the cats food so I needed to find an alternative solution. I had already planned on building a cat wall and figured I might as well put their food on the wall as well.There was a small hiccup putting these together, but other than that, pretty easy to assemble. They look great and very sturdy. I have a 12lb and a 9lb cat so I needed something that would hold them. I’ve even seen them both on the same shelf and it doesn’t even budge.

The quality is sturdy and my cat loves using this feeding shelf! The only complaint was that the instructions were a bit vague when it came to how to utilize the screws; they're all jumbled together in one bag so I needed to measure and organize them myself in order to understand which ones were being referred to with a given step. Also, there was no recommended drill hole measurement provided for the wall installation segment of the instructions--luckily, we didn't create too big of a hole in the wall or else the screws wouldn't have sufficiently held and the whole project would have become a headache!

My Oriental Shorthair, Spook, loves having her own private feeding station, and it keeps my Great Dane from stealing her food. I have it set up so Spook hops to the ledge from the top of the cat tree. Before this, I had her food on the top of a bookshelf but the Dane would just stand on some nearby object to reach it.When you install the ledge, don’t try to force the plastic plugs into the holes you made in the wall using a rubber mallet or similar. If the plug doesn’t slide in by hand, make the hole a little bigger. Yes, I learned this the hard way. 🤦‍♂️ Otherwise the install was pretty painless.
