So my son decided to do a desert salt flat diorama for his 7th grade science class final project. And like most parents, I was thinking quote, "Oh, yay *sarcastic tone* Yet another school project that is going to be impossible to make look good." When was the last time I actually kept a shoebox?! Like most non-diy super crafty moms having absolutely 0 talent or diorama supplies, I started digging on Amazon as I always do and came across this box, and a ton of supplies like grass texture stuff, sand paint, snow, water and a bunch of other cr** to make his diorama look better than everyone else. (OK I admit I'm a competitive Mom when it comes to my kids school LOL sorry-not sorry). This box was absolutely amazing, his project looked fantastic, and of course, he got a 100% and was the top diorama! I never keeps you boxes and I'm not one of those women that has a ton of shoes either. Because let's face it, feet are gross! Anyway, I'm horrible with DIY, as is my kid and our projects look more like those pinterest fails than what they are supposed to look like. Thankfully, this was box is simple to assemble and use. You can use it to display a bunch of your chachkis or for projects like ours. Now that schools over, I'm going to use it to display one of my autographed 49ers (Go 49ers! - no haters pls) footballs because it's that big. Also, the package arrived sooner than expected. I will definitely purchase more for the rest of these horrible school projects that come up from time to time. I am sure if you're one of those people that does models and miniatures for fun (I'm so impressed with people who do this all the time- I'm not worthy - *Wayne's World) If you are familiar with this product but if you're using something else similar stop and use this instead, you will not be sorry. Fantastic seller too!! I highly recommend!!!

Perfect! After struggling with assembling 2 boxes bought from another seller I decided to try this one. Yes it is more expensive and slightly smaller but it is top quality. It comes with instructions and the wood is substantial. Assembly is super easy even for me (lack hand strength). I intend to purchase more of these but only from Islands. I used mine to set up a Victorian Music Room and all items are from Islands.

I am creating Haunted Mansion scenes to go with my Hallmark Haunted Mansion ornaments. I have purchased 3 now and will be purchasing at least 2 more. The first two arrived on time and was very easy to put together. The third one I had problems with. It arrived and was not all in the box. I contacted the Seller and the issue was promptly taken care of. I received a new one right away and it was perfect. I did super glue these boxes together so they stay together. They are the perfect size for my needs. The wood is not flimsy and well constructed. I would give them more stars if I could!

A few things to note: it came in pieces and had to be assembled, the wood arrived warped and had to be forced in some spots. Once it was adhered together and in the advertised form, it was great. Ended up making a stencil and painting on the wood and it was an easy transfer.

Excellent quality

This display box came needing to be assembled. It only took about 5-10 minutes to assemble. No screws or drilling required. Pieces had pegs that snuggly fit into the corresponding holes. Make sure you line up the grooves right so that the front plastic can slide in. The back piece of wood was significantly thinner than the top, sides and bottom pieces. Since it was too thin, I ideally couldn’t drill into it for my corded light for fear of the wood splitting, but, I was able to drill a hole out of the sides just fine. I painted it black so my uranium glass would pop while it was inside, but, the wood color it originally came in was just a traditional unfinished wood color. You could probably stain this wood quite nicely as well. The front piece was plastic, I do wish it was glass. But overall, pretty sturdy and it’s a good size. I think you could do a lot with this box. It was a little pricer than I wanted, but would buy another one if needed in the future!

It takes a little bit of effort to get the box together but once all pieces are in place it's very study and stays together nicely. It's big enough for a nice room of dollhouse furniture. It was easy to wallpaper and put in flooring to make the room of my imagination come true. I like it so much that I bought a second one!!
