The media could not be loaded. I am far from being a musical talent. My parents had been infatuated by TikTok videos where a little girl has been drumming around. They had asked me to get them a set for when the grandchildren come to visit. Umm... and disturb the neighbors??? A mechanical set was a no -- I wanted to get them an electronic version instead so the volume could be adjusted.Received this Pyle set in good condition although the packaging had a few holes made from shipping. Setup was simple and straight-forward and took about 30 minutes to complete. We then hooked up an extra soundbar I had to it and turned it on.The sounds were VERY realistic. Had I not known any better, I would have thought the drums to be mechanical. The harder you banged with the drum stick, the louder the sound.Next, we opened up Kids drum lessons on the TV for my son to follow, and that big grin of him was heart-warming ESPECIALLY once he started bopping his head.The sounds could be adjusted from the monitor/control unit, and in a sense, that opens up an extra door of creativity that a mechanical set would not be able to provide. You can route the sound to headphones instead for extra quiet.A metronome is built-in to help with his timing. There is a recording functionality, and a music player could be connected for him to drum to.The product is marketed as being portable. It indeed is -- could be packed away small, but I wish it came with a nice, protective carry bag for easier transport. I'm pretty sure we won't be taking the set on our vacations anyway.All in all, good set of drums.

This drum set is the perfect set for a beginner. I got the set for my 13 year old son and he loves it. He can practice and create his own music. I like that he can explore his talent! It can be adjusted easily in height and position so we can all use it. There are many features that I love that I could not have with just a regular drum set. First, when he is practicing at times I don’t even know it! This is a good thing since I’m working from home and he needs to continue his practice. This is one of the main reasons why I got this. Unlike his old regular drum set, he can plug headphones right into the drum set and continue his practice. The mesh heads of the drums are highly responsive and silent. This drum set can also be folded up! When we don’t need it, it is designed to collapse, it’s quick and easy to do! It’s a very high quality set, highly recommended, whether you are a bigger or intermediate player or pro.

1. It took about 2 hours to put together due to instructions not showing how to assemble it properly.2. One of the pedals had a screw lose upon opening.3. The pedals make clanky sounds when pressing.4. The hi-hat pedal is sensitive - you need to hold down the top part of it to keep the sound short.

My daughter loves her new portable drum kit! She is so creative and obsessed with drumming. Although we have a full size kit, this portable kit is very easy to pack for weeklong vacations and when she spends the weekend at her grandparents house. All the adults that surround her are thankful for the headphones of course! She can play for hours and no one complains. The kit offers beats to play along with and the ability to connect with a computer and record your own music! There’s a hand percussion mode too so she can practice her African drum skills. It’s such a simple plug in and setup drum kit. We love it and recommend for any beginner to get the hours of practice in.

These are pretty awesome! I'm not great at putting things together, and this is pretty step by step easy. The velcro strips are for you to wrap around where the drum head inserts into the thing. That's going to hold it tighter.

so i got a smokin deal on my pyle drum set on amazon came on time having a blast so far not knowing how to play the drums but this set is a great way for beginners wanting to play drums

This drum kit is for my son who wanted to learn the drums without disturbing the household. The sound is great from the kit and he's had a few lessons on it already.
