Nutricost always hits it out of the park with their supplements. Doesn't really taste or smell fishy, and after cutting open a capsule they are not fishy either. Good ingredients and great value for the product.

Just as I was about to push the "Buy" button on another very popular brand of fish oil supplement, I decided to read the additional ingredients, and found sucrose and a few other things I am avoiding. So instead I began reading "Other ingredients" on the labels of fish oil supplements, and this one had the least ingredients and none were ones I want to avoid. Other ingredients in this are: gelatin, glycerin, and purified water. That is fewer than any of the others. My one small negative about this brand is that it's a huge bottle but the pills inside only come up to about two thirds of the bottle. But for an eight month supply the price is reasonable.

I started taking these for the Omega oils health benefits. I try to take 3 per day (3000mg/d) to help detox my liver - I probably average under 2000mg because I forget to take one in the middle of the day. My liver enzymes, after a half bottle in 6 weeks, combined with light exercise and the Mediterranean diet, are now lower than they have been is 8 years. I know this won't fix my liver, but it may stop the progressive damage. You can take this on an empty stomach or with a meal. The capsules are on the larger side, but tasteless, odorless, and get slippery as soon as you get them wet - so they go down easy. Fishy burps are an occasional occurrence, but nothing that is common or distracting - less common if you take them with a meal. Great product. Will make this part of my daily routine.

This is my first time trying this brand of fish oil pills. I take them to help keep my cholesterol at a good level. They are horse pills. They don't taste bad. And, I only had a little bit of fish burps, afterward. In my opinion, it can be a lot worse. And, for the size of the bottle, they are a great price, for the money.
