True fit
Awesome! Fit like a charm. It arrive a day ahead before it got cold here in S Texas. The new filter Oring was thick but once you lock down the filter ring it worked great. The tank arrive in a box labeled FNS 48. However, it was a FNS 60.

Installed Quickly and Worked Well but O-ring Seemed Too Thick
I replaced my cracked DE filter base with the Pentair 170018 tank bottom. I put the valve on DRAIN, opened to release valve at the top to let most of the water out, and took off the center strap. I was able to rinse the filter elements off and lift them out as a unit. The only issue I ran into is the the old center O-ring appears to be too large for the new tank bottom. If I had to do it again, I would replace it with one that was not as thick.

Check your Dimensions
I received my Pentair Tank Bottom Assembly Replacement for my FNSP60 (I used the part number from my manual). Initially, it went into place fine and connected up to my valve nicely. When I put my old top (2019) back into position it did not fit. The new bottom was larger then the old bottom so the top would not secure at all. I reached out to Pentair and the vendor that sold it through Amazon receiving little help. I finally purchased a new top for about $400 and that solved the problem. I am thinking there has been a slight change in the dimensions of the assembly over the years.

Saved tons of $$$&
So happy I was able to buy the bottom half of this and didn’t have to replace the entire thing. My leak was a crack due to the plug being cross threaded.(pool cleaner I hired 🤨) It was super easy to install and saved me tons of money. The pool company wanted to replace the entire unit for well over $2,000. Just installed this today and fired up the unit and no more leak. 😊

Perfect Replacement
Fit Perfectly! I purchased the Top, Bottom, Clamping Ring & Backwash Valve all separately. I re-used my existing filter grids & manifold. Unfortunately the clamping ring is too big (doesn't squeeze the lid & bottom enough to create a seal with the O-ring), so I re-used my old clamp ring. Saved about $600 doing it this way!
