Q: Does it work to clear away acne?..

I would say no, since there is no medication in the cleanser itself. Use Proactiv or Acne Free (which you can get on Amazon). (I have used these for more than 20 years and people compliment me on my skin all the time. I have acne rosacea and had very enlarged pores and the Proactiv and the Acne Free systems have solved those problems for me. The Aveeno is just a very soothing, gentle cleanser which I use prior to the acne treatments.

Yes, the first ingredient is water, followed by glycerin and sodium Laureth Sulfate.

Hi Julia! No, not really the glitter...it has an interesting, shimmery, color. It is gentle, non-drying, removes make up well, and it smells lovely. I love it!
