The box smashes the nose. Definitely wash before using, there is typical latex residue.In about 2 hours you will sweat in the mask.The mask fits over the face comfortably. There is a small catch in the mouth area to put your lips over. You can move the mouth, and even eat small snacks. I wore grease on my eyes to blend in with the mask, and it actually catches on the latex — I had full facial expression with the mask’s face, which was really awesome.For me, I had to reach a little to fit my lips into the mask’s lips, so I couldn’t stick my tongue out far nor open the mouth very wide.I was worried about the few reviews on this, but I am impressed.I will say that the color/detail is good up to a foot away. Anyone standing real close may notice the fakeness. But otherwise you look super realistic. I’m sure a hobbyist can make it hyper-hyper realistic.Mask does not come with shawl.You also look cool when the outside is wet. It really pops out the veins and wrinkles in the latex. There is paint to give creases definition/contrast, but they are real creases with physical depth.I did have an issue with the shoulders getting caught on my skin. Perhaps recommend wearing a turtleneck underneath? Its a bit harder to make it convincing with the shoulder/neck fold in or the back pops out of your costume. Like I said, mostly due to sweat/trapped moisture causing it to catch your skin and work its way up your shoulders. (Noticeable when sitting down.)The nose does not have holes. Nor do the ears. A good thing in some ways. But there is no special detail over the ears. Meaning the ear canal doesn't fade into a black darkness. The nose apertures do have shallow pockets.I think there are small holes for where your real ears will be… i didn’t notice them until I was cleaning the mask inside out one day.If you have long hair, you will have trouble getting the mask on.The latex is reasonably thick. Because of the close fit, I am careful not to tear it while putting it on.I did win a costume contest while wearing this. It was also the most expensive costume present.
