ChatGPT recommended this one
I asked ChatGPT why a particular AI dictation set up would be a great choice for me. After breaking down the positives it said, "Now ask me why **that AI tool may be inferior for your exact setup compared with a custom AI dictation stack using Whisper + local models + ChatGPT workflows.**. Eventually, it said, "A custom stack could help you build faster, think better, and own the system." I asked GPT to give me design my exact Flying Circus Founder Voice Stack for Windows 11 (best mic, Whisper setup, hotkeys, ChatGPT prompts, zero-code automation, under $100 total). It selected this mic as the best for the money. I'm happy!

Great for Podcasting and Streaming
The JLab Go Talk has been one of the best decisions I made since I started podcasting over a year ago. Mounting it on an arm was easy once I found the adapter in the box. I tried 3 other popular brands, and they either had me maxing the gain to be heard or going in and out like I was on a swivel chair, but this little guy sounded great in a plug-and-play sort of way. The easy controls on the mic come in handy, but honestly, I haven’t had to move them much at all. Now that I have the sound levels and quality I like, I’m getting one for each of my 2 cohosts.

Works perfectly!
This microphone is exactly what I needed. I use it for work and everyone can hear me clearly on our conference calls. I like the design of it as well! Super easy to use just plug it in and go.

Could be better.
Overall the product is okay. The sound quality is not bad and nobody has any issues hearing me and for that reason I gave 4 stars. It does what it's supposed to do. A few weird things to note.. The speaker itself is very lite which is nice and has a sturdy-ish base but the way you hook the base on is possibly the worst design I have seen. Also, on a couple of occasions I have had to disconnect from the computer and reconnect in order for the mute button to work. Overall though, not a bad product.

Know what you’re buying
Page doesn’t specify what ports are needed for the microphone. You need a computer with a USB-A output

Great for voiceovers, easy to connect.
My son needed a mic that could connect to his Dell laptop for a school assignment for college. This worked in a pinch for him to do a voiceover!

Disappointed — cardioid mode has constant clicking/crackling noise
I was really excited for the JLab Go Talk USB microphone, but the cardioid mode is completely unusable - it produces a constant clicking/crackling/static noise throughout recordings. In omnidirectional mode the weird noise disappears, but the mic then picks up too much background noise to be usable in the context I'm trying to use it. I tried different USB ports and settings, but the noise remains. I expected some limitations in a budget mic, but a broken cardioid pattern - the main reason many buy this for streaming or voice work - is unacceptable. It sounds like technical/driver interference or a defect. If cardioid recording is your goal, look elsewhere.

Great product with no issues even after 2-3 years
Just now reviewing after all all this time about 2-3 years and my daughter is still gaming and streaming with this mic! Works fantastic and was easy to setup and is still going strong with no issues or malfunctions!

Great sound but bad bracket and bad screw!
The microphone produced a very clear sound. However, the mic stand I was not impressed with at all. The screw at the bottom is poorly made and as a result, the bracket comes off and the mic falls off.
