Exactly what I needed
I'm updating this after a few months of having themThe insole will move a lot after a bit but they feel great once you get new ones love these guysThey feel great, they run great, you can lift in them and feel goodThey're wonderful to run around in all dayThey feel like durable shoes overall tooThese really helped me get back into running tooWould recommend to anyone who's thinking about it to just jump the gun and get a pair

I would wait until the next model.
I gave it four stars, and I am happy overall. However, I do regret buying these. The insert in the shoe constantly moves around to the point it is very annoying. I have bought previous versions of these shoes, and I will buy more in the future. They are so lightweight, and they look great. I put over 1,000 running miles on my last pair, and they are still useable. I just wish the insert in these was not so annoying.

Lite, Flexy, Grippy
I have been looking for solid zero drop. These shoes do not disappoint. Great comfort and fit like a glove. (Like that 7 year old pair of vans you still can’t get rid of)Will update in a few months of using! Love them so far

Buyer beware
This is my second pair of inov8 shoes. I absolutely loved the first pair. They fit like second skin and were extremely comfortable and went beyond all my expectations for a zero drop shoe. This was my replacement pair and they fit slightly smaller than the first. The insole slid around so much that made the shoe unwearable and extremely annoying to have to remove the shoe, fix the sole and attempt to try again. Needless to say I gave up. I attempted to return the shoe stating that it was defective in hopes to exchange for another pair. I was not refunded or offered an exchange but instead received a notice stating that the shoe was "damaged" (in other words worn) and did not meet the standards for a return. I have not had a good experience with this shoe or the seller.

Mediocre so far.
So. The shoes fit and we’re not too small even though Amazon suggested I buy a size larger than usual, although the toe box is narrow so if you need a wide shoe this is not the one for you. I went with the more expensive option this time after my last buy was the WHITIN trail runners for $40ish bucks. After having these shoes for about two months, they’re nearly the same as the much cheaper WHITINs. Although I did buy these specifically because a few reviews said that they last for a very long time and many miles of running, and my WHITINs wore through the soles after a few months. So I may update the rating to higher if they last longer than them. As for these shoes, you can step on stones on the road without pain like the Merril vapor glove fours ( that HURT to step on stones with those) so the bottom is thick enough to protect the foot but yet you still feel the ground. The main thing I dislike about these is that the soles both come out and I am unable to get them to not slowly ride back toward the heel of the shoe as I walk or run. I always have to stop walking or running and take the shoe off, place the insole back into its proper position, which is so annoying I just removed them completely. But other than that, they’re great barefoot shoes so far, just wish I’d have gone with the WHITINS again for a third of the price.

Don't order down a size!
First thing I would advise against is ordering down a size, like what a lot of people like to advise doing on Amazon. If you want to wear these without socks, order your size. If you want to wear socks, go up. Inov-8 run small. I ordered 12s and they just fit without socks. Now we got that out of the way, let's chat about the shoes themselves. They're super light. They're also surprising grippy, and warmer than I expected. I wouldn't wear them to shovel the driveway, and they do breathe, but I was surprised that my feet haven't really gotten cold wearing them, despite it being January and February I've been wearing them. They do take some getting used to. Hard surfaces aren't as fun as soft ones. I wore them for a 6hr shift at my part time job just to see if it's doable, and it is, but it wasn't luxurious, standing on concrete. Also, I wouldn't go running on hard surfaces with these. That's me, though. These really don't offer support, or loads of protection, and they aren't supposed to. But once I got used to wearing them, it took about a week, I really enjoy wearing them. They're an awesome gym shoe, and I'd recommend them to someone looking to get I to minimalist shoes.

Insoles are garbage! Material under insole tore open and split on both shoes. Known issue!
THIS IS NOT THE SELLERS FAULT!The seller seems fine. This model of shoe has many issues that Inov-8 is aware of where the insoles (super thin material) slide back during normal use and bunch up behind the heel. End up having your toes hanging over the insoles. I looked at Inov-8's website for customer reviews, in the last month ALONE (this shoe has been out since 2022) I found 4 reviews that specifically point out the issue with the insoles and Inov-8 responding telling them that customer care would be contacting them.Mine actually ended up having the material under the insole at the heel of BOTH shoes split and rip open. Thankfully no tacks, nails etc. pierced the material. Upper and outer seem fine and havent had any issues. They look good. I have had them since May of 2023 and this is the first pair of ANY shoes I have bought in the last 5-6 years that I have had this kind of poor experience with.I am talking with seller about a warranty repair through Inov-8. I didn't want a refund or to return them, just to have the rips in both shoes at both heels fixed as it seems REALLY clear this is a manufacturing or material issue.

Comfortable minimalist shoes with terrific grip
Great fit and great traction in these minimalist shoes. They feel awesome in the gym and provide a lot of confidence with complex movements.

Took me long enough to discover this ...
Using it for my lifts (power-lifting). Also quite enjoy walking around with it. Zero-drop.

Barefoot shoes
I do like these shoes but like many other reviews, I can confirm that the inner sole slips back as you wear them. I kind of got used to it but it’s annoying. I use them for CrossFit and like them. The toes could use a little more padding for use as a CrossFit shoe but it’s likely perfectly fine for any other use.

Not wide enough for BF
Look well made, but not really big enough in the toe box to be a minimalist shoe
