I love that these accept 2 plugs, where each are 3 prong! Had not noticed before they'd arrived, but anticipating that to be very useful. Counter to other timers I've had, the "off" setting is for the little pieces is to be pulled out, and on is when pressed in. "Easy" enough, once that's realized. Overall, the dial and pins are a bit on the small side, but even for my old and clumsy fingers and hampered eyesight it all works for us! Did a rough test on timing and seemed to work, though didn't try to carefully evaluate (as we tend to use them only for a few days at a time, and there's no real need for precision for our needs).

I bought this item to replace a timer that is making an annoying clicking sound. Per the reviews this items is supposed to be silent. As soon as my package arrived I put the new timer on so I could stop hearing the annoying clicking sound on my old one. Well guess what!! The new one clicks too!! I was very disappointed but decided to give the second one a try and thankfully it is actually silent. Amazon won't take just one back so I'm stuck with the useless clicking timer. I couldn't find any way to contact seller either. That means I paid double the price for this one timer. I am happy one works at least, but I paid for TWO working silent timers. Feel robbed.

These mechanical timers are easy to use and work just fine without the bells and whistles of more expensive digital devices which can be confusing to program.The mechanical settings are probably not as precise as those on digital timers, but if the lights go on or off at 11:08 instead of precisely 11:00, it's not a problem for me.

I had to go thru a box of bad ones to get a set that worked as expected! Return was easy and fast! I think they are as accurate as this type of timer could be! Each pin represents approximately 15 minutes, but with two identical timers set exactly the same and plugged in within seconds of each other, there was still a time lapse between identical Christmas trees coming on together and turning off together. Even with a few attempts at tweaking one or the other to better synchronize the lights, it still didn’t change much. Over the course of being on over the Christmas holiday I noticed each timer slowly came on a bit later and later each day, until there was somewhere around 1/2 hr to 45 minutes delay in original time set. However, that being the case, I still plan to use them again next year!! The convenience was well worth any time discrepancies!!

Standard timer of this type. Easy to set. Multiple different on/off times. I have had this timer for over a month and it has worked flawlessly.

Used for timing plant lights.The timer should do the job, but is very basic. The components feel loose (the fit of the plug prongs into the outlet is loose / has some wiggle to it, the timer pins have a bit of wiggle to them). It's probably not a functional issue, but it feels cheap.Also the center of one of the timers has a large scratch on it (see photo) and came with dirt/grime on the center as if it had already been used. The other one looked new and had no issues. They came securely bubble wrapped and boxed within the Amazon package so this condition issue must have been pre-shipping.Edit: After using these for a few weeks I've dropped the rating to 3 stars from 5 stars. Functionally they're adequate, but one of the timers is being used in a bedroom next to the bed. The timer constantly makes a faint rattling/vibrating noise. Super annoying.

I have about 5 timers, tried teh digital ones, need a degree to set some of them, spend more time clicking buttons trying to set them , then the time i spend on vacation :). anyway this is simple, easy to use and does what its suppose to do, like that you set alternate times for on and off during the night. Simple and effective and good price.
