This book is very well laid out. Excellent verbiage and great photos make it a real pleasure to read. There is plenty of background information on cider making. Good information on the elements: cider/juice, acid, tannin, yeast, etc.There are plenty of recipes from very basic using store-bought apple juice to more complex recipes with recommendations on apple type and adjunct ingredients. Each recipe is written on a single page with all the steps outlined. At first I thought it was silly to have the steps repeated on every recipe page, but now i realize how nice it is to have it all in one place. Recipes always have information for both one and five-gallon batches which is nice.

Good way too get started with (real) cider. Easy to understand. Easy to get started with basic cider, includes more advanced techniques, also. Book came in excellent condition.

…it's got recipes you won't see in more traditional cider books (get some of them as well).This book may be just a bit light on "how to…" but Resources at the back of the thing will point you to books, supplies and some other online resources.I like the 1 & 5 gallon recipe info, most books lead you through "new" recipes with just the 5 (too much if you don't like your new cider)Well worth owning.

THis book is a great intro or refresher for anyone interested in or currently making cider. Set up almost like taking a class, the author excellently gives ways for any cider maker to hone their craft and have fun too. Additionally, there are many great recipes organized by difficulty. Highly recommended. Great pictures, too.

Really looking forward to trying out these recipes. I want to put our orchard to work!

Great book- beautiful images, clear-cut writing that is precise and interesting, and helpful sections like equipment and troubleshooting. Can’t wait to the intriguing recipes. I’ve given two more copies away as gifts!

This book is full of recipes, although most are very similar to each other. Great intro to give people understanding on what they are about to do with the recipes ahead.

Beautifull book, good qualities of papers, good recipe and well explained. Easy to use for home.

Excellent book with clear accessible writing, that develops your skills and undersatnding for cider making. In USA terms, but does translate these into metric units also.

Excellent Product!! Exactly what I was looking for!!

Beautiful pictures of drinks, good layout and print and nice overall feeling. Wonderful book for getting inspired. However, as a home wine and cider maker for 7 years, I find some technical advice and procedure descriptions misleading. Sometimes the focus is too much on not so important details and some important things are left unmentioned. I doubt if a complete novice can get a good cider according to given recipes - although the novice is the main target. Would not recommend it to a serious cider maker. Despite that, I got some ideas and am grateful for that.
