Incredible adaptation, I could not put it down
Most reviews have covered the most important elements, so I will focus on my take on the experience of reading this book. The book its Bookstore quality, the presentation is incredible and the art is beautiful and evocative, it has a retro feeling that makes it unique and at the same time it takes risks and achieves modernity, it is like a very well crafted storyboard. Each panel feels cinematic and visually stunning, the script, dialogues, and stories are varied and engaging, I found myself flipping through pages so fast because I was engaged, only to return to the page again to appreciate the artwork and the flow of the story.I love a good mystery and horror story with supernatural elements, and this one is one of the best I have ever read, it has a little bit of every kind of story, the lone explorer, the group that finds and investigates things that should not have been found and moreThis is a must-have for any lover of Lovecraftian horror.

Fanstastic Adaptation
I.N.J’s illustrations are beautiful and welcome additions to his adaptations of these four stories. Definitely worth picking this up if you can spare the coin.

Great adaptation
Excellent adaptations, perhaps some of the best, from Lovecraft's repertoire.

Great!
Charles Dexter Ward still sucks but the rest is amazing! Great adaptions, I loved some of the minor changes. Would love to see more.

don't know much about Lovecraft
I grew up (and still live) in Baltimore. Edgar Allan Poe is buried here. All things EAP are worshiped by the citizens of Baltimore. My parents were married in the Westminster church. And of course, the ultimate compliment - our Superbowl winning champion football team (2013) is named after one of Poe's most famous works - the Ravens. (By the way, the Ravens mascots are named Edgar, Allan and Poe).So I know a lot about Poe's works. I know that for quite a long time a Poe admirer would leave 3 roses and a bottle of cognac at Poe's grave. I also know if you want to really scared on Halloween, go to the Halloween event at Westminster. But what does this have to do with H.P.Lovecraft? Absolutely nothing. I am just offering this as a sort of explanation of why I never knew any of Lovecraft's works. This book is a great place for a newbie like me to start. The book contains the stories of Chuthlu (I know, I spelled it wrong) whichthe hardcore Lovecraft fans know by heart. But I only knew bits and pieces of the story.I can say I slept with the lights on for maybe a week after I read this book. It is _frightening_, at least to me. I presume the hardcore fans already have the stories in various books. And as a newbie, I would think it would cool to have the Chuthlu stories in one place. It makes me understand the power of Lovecraft's writing and how people really get intoit. So as a newbie to H.P. Lovecraft's works, it works very well for me. Maybe for somebody else, not so good. But I recommend the newbies that are just beginning to discover Lovecraft to start with this book. It also work make a great gift for a Lovecraft fan - yes they have all the stories of Chuthlu but it's all together in this book.

A book you will never part with.
I’m not often lost for words but when this beautiful volume arrived I certainly was - for a couple of minutes, anyway. What an extraordinary book. Huge, heavy, hardcover, with a neat little slip cover, page mark ribbon, the lot, and clearly a labour of love by all involved. I’ve seen telephone directories slimmer than this. It even smells wonderful. We know the stories are great because they are by a master, but the art is simply jaw dropping. I’m no expert, as you are probably about to discover, and I hope Mr. Culbard takes it as the huge compliment I intend when I say it reminds me of Herge meets Mignola. If you know anyone who has ever harboured an interest in comics, horror or fantasy this would be a gift they would absolutely love. I bought this for myself. Thanks me, you’re not quite as daft as you look.
