We just purchased a very large pot to cook French fries, and onion rings from scratch. This is something that we used to do when I was growing up so it really means a lot to be able to do this with my family that I created. So many wonderful memories. When you cook in oil, like for French fries, you don’t want to throw out the oil each time. This is just too expensive. The best thing to do is to strain your oil through the metal strainer that is included with this pot. Then you put the lid on until the next time that you will be cooking foods in hot oil. The 4 quart size means that it is big enough so that we can use it for big gatherings, or small gatherings. It doesn’t matter, this pot with the strainer and lid that fit’s snuggly tight. And I can tell you from experience, this is a great strainer, and oil/grease holder. It’s super easy to use, and super sturdy. Just what you need if its main purpose is to hold oil/grease. And to top it off, it looks nice. Not sloppy and like this was an afterthought. The price is incredibly fair.

I bought this so I could save my grease or oil after I make french fries or something like that and it works great The strainer is perfect I had seen on here where some people had said the strainer rusts but even if the strainer rusts I'll throw it away and just use a handheld strainer These things are great but I also use tallow for smaller frying jobs so I'm going to buy a second one and label it so I know which is my regular oil and which is the strain tallow cleans up easy The lid is nice and tight and secure and that means a lot to me and if it's perfect in my kitchen

Thought I'd use this to store bacon grease. Miscalculated actual size in my mind... too large. Still works great to store large quantities of soup or stew since it came with a great snap on lid. Easy to clean. I've also used the filters to filter other liquid items plus the fact the filters are easy to store in a drawer.

This is a very nice grease strainer. The mesh strainer captures a lot of small solids from bacon grease and leaves the remaining grease pretty clear. There are smaller partials that continue to come through but they sink to the bottom leaving very usable grease on the top. It's a nice shiny container that's very easy to use. You just open the hinged lid, pour, allow straining and close the lid. I use it at least once a week and I am happy with the results.

A one-gallon pot with a reasonably fine mesh and a solid, airtight plastic lid to snap on top. I came up with this idea while trying to think of easier ways to strain my horchata. I then spent two hours vainly hoping that it might actually exist. I eventually stumbled upon another site's "SS Pig Grease Keeper". You have no idea how glad I am that it actually exists. It makes my life so much easier. It's the exact shape I wanted, in a solid material durable enough to handle even hot oil, and it's extremely easy to clean, so it's not like it adds much of a cleaning burden to my kitchen. 10/10 would buy again

This fryer is great. I can cook 2 good sized leg-thigh pieces of chicken in it. Not fully unless you heat it more but not bad for a exlarge batch of wings though. You have to pull the oil catcher out before heating or you'll warp the grease cather. The top could use better filtering but its any easy fix. The food though is totally awesome though. Best fryer I ever had. Hopefully, the grease catcher is made stainless steel too and you can leave it in place when you use it.

This canister is heavy, well made and is going to fit a very large amount of bacon grease!! It’s very easy to clean as well!

Extremely heavy on the bottom. It doesn't say if it's to prevent tip-overs or for insulation purposes. Good idea, nevertheless. Until now, I had no reason to question the level of my countertops or table. The product has a slight wobble to it, like it has a little convex on the bottom. Whether it's just mine or it's deliberate, I like it! Again there's no mention for it but as a centrifugal force, it should prove extremely useful! Quite possibly, why it's so heavy on the bottom.
