Victoria Hagan: Dream Spaces

White, cool and impersonal.
White, cool and impersonal sums up the feeling I got from this book. I was grateful that I got it by trading in points from my credit card, for I can’t say i’d have wanted to spend a lot of money looking at the same thing over and over again. With few exceptions, the rooms were stark, white and impersonal. A few rooms would have been great, but an entire book mostly devoted to an impersonal look was a bit over the top. I loved her previous book, but this one left me cold.

Beautiful book filled with clean, contemporary design
This is a beautiful, well-curated book filled with bright, airy, light-filled spaces. I was most drawn to the chapter featuring her own family home which she furnished with slightly more approachable things such as slipcovered sofas, striped dhurries, printed pillows and wicker dining chairs. The rest of the homes in the book are very modern and contemporary (so if you like contemporary design you’ll definitely like this book!). Overall I appreciate her unfussy approach to design. The book has a neutral white spine so it looks great in the stack.

A keeper well done
I just love this book. It's very fresh and it's interesting. Just looking at the pictures gives you inspiration. I actually have two copies, one in each of my homes.

I found the illustrations very repetitive and the contents was not what I was expecting.
