Great piece of kit for your tool box. These are the curved jaw channel locks which I didn't own before now. They add some good versatility to my set of tools since they have the curved jaw which works well on plumbing pipes. The straight jaws work well...but, you can get more torque on these when you are fixing any plumbing item. They also have the push button adjustment so they stay set at one level until you are ready to change it. Which means they don't slip like standard slide pliers. The size is great for most in home plumbing jobs...especially with the adjustable jaw. These come with padded handles which are a hand saver whenever you use them. Vise Grip have been known for their durable tools for many years...and I don't see any change in that with this set. So, as usual with Irwin products...they feel great and will last a lifetime. I was lucky enough to get this set on sale...so the value was huge for me. Even if you don't find a sale...these are a great product and worth their price. Highly recommended for the fixer-upper in your life. I bought a number of these for different tool boxes in my house and vehicle.

Excellent vise-grips! These work great and adjust very easily. The handle grips really help secure the tool in your hand. Great price too!

These pliers have a strong grip, a wide range of sizes they can fit, are comfortable to use, and are well built. No cheap stuff here. I would absolutely buy them again, and do indeed recommend them. I have yet to be disappointed by an Irwin tool.

I recently added the IRWIN VISE-GRIP 10-Inch V-Jaw Pliers to my toolbox, and they have quickly become a favorite. The press-and-slide button makes it incredibly easy to adjust the width of the opening, allowing for quick and precise sizing to fit various tasks. While you can effortlessly slide to reduce the grip as needed, there’s absolutely no slippage like you might experience with cheaper or other pliers. The anti-pinch and anti-slip features are a significant upgrade, providing both safety and efficiency during use. The build quality is robust, and I can tell these pliers are built to last—I anticipate using them for a long time. I’m so impressed that I’m likely to purchase multiple sizes to complete my set.

Well made and gives strong grip on hard to remove bolts.

These work well for light/medium duty. I found that the jaws slip (it will jump teeth on the 'press and slide' part of the plier adjustment under heavy load). Definitely not as strong as an adjustment 'hold' as a traditional channel-lock setup, but works very well for light/medium duty. The press and slide is great as it holds its size and you aren't fumbling to re-set them if they open too far like you would with regular channel locks.

The Short: Great pliers with an adjustable click-lock system and the sort of gripping power that'll make the Hulk jealous. For most household jobs, look no further. Look, I'm no handyman. But, every dude needs to have an outlet to feel like a boss in front of their family when they're in need. We just moved into a new place and our bathtub's drain was clogged and, glory hallelujah, the stopper that should've easily twisted off was rusted in place. No matter how much I twisted and tried, it was immovable. Enter IRWIN. This bad boy has some serious edge to it (pun intended). The grooves grip so nicely that for a moment I thought there was a secret adhesive embedded in the grooves (clarification: there is no adhesive, these pliers are just that awesome). I had absolutely no problem getting the stopper off. Heck, the job was so easy that I felt compelled to find other things to twist off in the house just to feel accomplished. Did I mention, the clicking adjustment system is awesome? I've worked with other traditional pliers that take some work to adjust, but IRWIN's clicking system is well worth the money. I'm actually surprised that they don't charge a few more bucks for having something that stands out against its competitors. The click keeps my setting in place and doesn't budge as I'm doing the job. Point is, if you're in need of great household pliers, these will do more than fine. As I mentioned in the title, there's a reason The Sweethome picked these as their go-to pliers. I don't do industrial jobs so I'm not sure how they'd hold up against larger needs and jobs. But, if I can come out as the hero in my family, you'd be surprised what the IRWIN GrooveLock Pliers can do for yours.

Item is a stocking filler for Christmas, I am sure it will will be appreciated, looks good to me.
