Simple & well made camping tent
Finally an inexpensive, high quantity SUV tent that is simple to set up and high quality. The material is well made with a radiant heat barrier, comes with taped seams and our first camping trip was in a deluge and the KampKeeper shrugged off the downpour without problems. It has built in screened vents, a nice, large screen window with a zippered storm flap and two entry awnings with poles. Best of all the body of the tent has only one arch fiberglass segmented pole that supports the tent by clips and a short pass through sleeve. Stakes (basic) and cords are included. This tent does NOT have a floor which is an advantage as far as I'm concerned, when I need a floor I just use a tarp, cheap and easily replaced unlike a built-in floor. Set up is simple and the unit as a whole is light and provides an ~ 7'x10', 6'+ height, plenty big enough for two. At half the price of many similarly sized other units it's tough to beat.

Difficult but worth it
The tent itself is made of high quality material and once it is set up, it is fantastic. The directions for this tent are atrocious. Someone who doesn’t speak English obviously tried to write the directions. Which makes the set up very difficult. Unfortunately, the 1st time setting it up, one of the seams where the strap meets the tent ripped. :/ So I would give it 5 stars for high quality and easy set up… but I can’t, because now I have a hole in the tent and terrible directions.

Functional and Stylish, But With Limitations
Pros: Winter-Friendly Design: The absence of a bottom is a standout feature, making it exceptionally suitable for winter camping. It simplifies setup and teardown, avoiding the mess of snow and mud. Aesthetic and Material Quality: The tent looks sleek and the fabric quality is impressive, suggesting durability and good weather resistance. Cons: Size Limitation: It's smaller compared to other vehicle camping tents on the market. This can be a drawback if you're looking for spacious outdoor living quarters. Dependence on Vehicle Support: Unlike some other tents that can stand alone, the KAMPKEEPER must be attached to your vehicle to stay upright. If you plan to use your car without the tent, you'll have to disassemble it, which limits its versatility. Final Thoughts: The KAMPKEEPER SUV Car Tent is a great addition to any winter camper's gear, especially for those who prioritize ease of use and cleanliness in snowy conditions. Its aesthetic appeal and material quality are definite plus points. However, its smaller size and inability to stand independently may not suit everyone's needs. If you're looking for a shelter that extends your vehicle's living space with minimal fuss, this is a solid choice. Just be aware of its limitations in terms of space and standalone stability.

Easy to put up - good value
Some people have left reviews say that it takes a lot of work to get the tent assembled. I found a very simple way that works. The first time you put it on your car you set it all up and adjust your straps - then all you have to do is hook it up from then on out. The first time might take you 20 minutes, but after that, it probably only takes 10 or less. 1. Lay the tent out so that they gathered side of the tent that has elastic in it is pointing towards your car.. with the hatch back down lay this part of the tent over the top of your car. There are straps on each side, run them through the loops and then weave it through your wheel on your tire. Bring the strap back up and put it into the clip at the top. Cinch the strap tight. From now on it fits your car! 2. Then lift your hatchback with the tent laying over the car. This works the easiest because you don’t have to try to get the tent wrangled over the top of a hatchback that’s open.. much easier! If you have a roof rack on your car, I would with the strap through the roof rack as well. 3. Insert the tent poles through the clips and the loop that sound to the back side of the tent. Put each end of the tent poles into the grommets. Inside of the tent, there is a black strap that is attached near where the pole is. It stretches across the inside of the tent and attaches to a clip on the other side where the pole goes through the grommet on that side. 4. Make sure all of your doors screens and everything are zipped shut, then spread the tent out away from the car and insert the stakes on each side of the door. 5. We purchased new heavy duty stakes that have a hook on them, and we put a stake in near the tire, where the tent poles come down and near the opening of the door of the tent on each side. Six stakes in total.. I’ve seen a review that says it takes two people to put this up but it definitely could be done by one person. EDIT: we have used this for 7 nights - up and down each night. We have had strong winds, thunder, lightning and rain. As long as you get better stakes with a hook and put them in tight you are good to go. We set out crates with food and some firewood along the inner flap when we had the wind. This is holding up well.

Zipper broke instantly, mesh tears easily
BIGGEST issue was the zipper(s) broke right away, during set up. We were not in a place for replacement or a way to fix it and had to duct tape the opening. While putting up the poles for the shade piece over the mesh area, the pole fell and tore a hole in the mesh super easily. Bought this a couple weeks prior to going camping over 4th of July. This was not easy to put up, directions were worthless, you have to YouTube it, however, we did, for the most part, put it up, prayed for no wind or rain, tent could not have handle either. No bottom to tent, use a tarp. It was pretty roomy. Returned from traveling only to have missed the 30 day return mark on 7/21/24 it 7/23/24 I'm stuck with this. Boo.

Fast delivery to wales (uk) Good design and easy to set up. For the money it’s worth it I payed £165 and you don’t get a lot for that anymore, everything is built flimsy these days! Cant see the zips lasting long and material is thinner than expected. But I would definitely recommend cheaper than a hotel room right!!!!

Brought this tent tree planting in BC and Alberta. It has held up to some insane wind and rain so far. Great tent, the instructions basically say “build the tent” but you can figure it out.
