Your search for the perfect soundbar is over - Buy this one!
Where are all the reviews for this product?? If like me you may have been searching for reviews of the Polk Audio Magnifi AX SR, then you will know there isn't really any, so I just wanted to reassure you that this is an absolutely 1st class home cinema product. This soundbar is the closest you will get to the sound created by a full home cinema amp and speaker set up, but without the expense and cables. Now nothing can beat a full home cinema set up, but if you want a system that actually fills the room and gives a genuine separation within the sound stage then this is it. The 10" wireless sub is amazing, you feel the rumbles and its bass is deep and smooth. The issue with most sound bars is the virtual surround sound, the Polk has actual wireless rears that work and sound great. The surrounds and sub connects effortlessly and always stay connected, never cutting out, no buzz, top notch. The surround speakers plug only into the mains so no taking down and charging every couple of movies, Polk have thought of everything. The eARC connects to the TV, allowing transfer of multi channel sound such as Dolby Atmos (DD+) from your TVs streaming sources. There's 3 HDMI ports to hook up items such as your Ultra HD Blu-Ray player for true multi channel surround sound. This system has 11 speakers in total for 5.1.2 surround sound, left, right and centre in the bar (2 speakers for each) 2 upward firing speakers on top for the overhead effects and of course the 2 rear satellites and sub. The system is fully capable of decoding and playing Dolby Atmos and DTS-X as advertised, but it will also play Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, PCM audio etc. The soundbar is big and heavy, as is the sub, you can feel the quality. Soundbar has a nice concealed display which lights up then goes off, so as not to disturb your viewing. Here you can press the info button on the remote and the soundbar will display which audio format it is receiving and outputting (Atmos, DTS etc) which is really useful. Of course here you can set you sub, surround, delay levels etc. The voice enhancement function is sort of like a volume increase for the centre channel for dialogue and the pre set sound modes work as they should. Movies sound immense, the soundstage is wide and the channels clear and defined, it fills the room with ease and completely immerses you in the sound, from all angles. Never buy a system without dedicated rears. Away from movies, music also sounds excellent. I hooked up my bluetooth record deck and that plays great through the Polk, you can also connect to your network and run Spotify etc via the system. All in all it's first class and I tested quite a few systems before I settled on it, I just can't understand why there isn't more review buzz on it. If in any doubt I hope I have helped you decide, this is, in my opinion probably the best sound bar system you will get for your money and its truly a quality piece of home theatre technology. Well done Polk, your Magnifi Max AX SR gets a full 5 stars from me, buy it! (and leave a review!!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great soundbar if you have the right content
Great quality sound when you have the right content. Soundbar has rear speakers which totally make the difference for surround sound. Has a 7.1.2 setup, the first number represents the ground speakers, next is number of subs, and finally overhead or in this case upward pointing for atmos. The 7 are 5 front in soundbar and 2 behind. The 2 for atmos also in the bar. You need content which is encoded in atmos or truehd to really get the experience. That usually means having a 4k sub for streaming or blueray quality rips. You'll also need a tv which supports eArc. If you don't have one like me, use a earc audio splitter and use certified hdmi cables to support it. That will split the audio to the bar and video to TV. This can set you back another hundred quid. Supports all formats once properly setup. You will see the audio codec displayed on the bar when it's working. Will show atmos, truehd, dts etc. I had the version without the rear speakers and I sent it back. You cant get real surround sound experience without multiple speakers so the rears are essential. Subwoofer is very good quality, super loud. Never had it at full as way to loud.

Huge upgrade on the s4
I previously had the Polk S4 which was a great soundbar but I was looking for something with a bit more bass and surround. I was looking at competitor products including Sonos and Samsung but I could not justify the price. Once the magnifi max ax sr was released I was initially apprehensive about buying it as there were so few reviews out there but glad I took a chance on it as it sounds incredible. The sub is huge which has room shaking bass. I only wish that the sound bar could have the same indicator light that the s4 has at the front to easily identify whether you are listening to Atmos or other formats. Not a massive issue as you can find out using the soundbar remote. Highly recommend this product.

best sub midrange 7.1.2 soundbar
all-round balance between price and features for audio home entertainment soundbar, featuring one soundbar with 9 forward facing drivers and 2 up-firing drivers. One 10" Subwoofer for low-frequency sounds and two surround speakers. The Soundbar system supports most sound formats which include Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and Dolby Atmos (Via DD+, DTHD), DTS, DTS X. The sound system also offers plenty of connectivity options one HDMI Out (ARC/EARC), three HDMI Inputs (4K passthrough), one optical output port, USB 2.0 Port, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz & 5GHz and Bluetooth. Google Cast and Apple Airplay are also avialable Functional the sound system can be operated via an easy-to-use remote or by a CEC-compatible device, features on the remote include Bass, Treble, Surround, Delaay, Height, Voice etc. The sound system is also linkable with Google Home. The sound system has offered deep detailed rich sound with tremendous low-frequency Bass, though height channels are not so distinguishable. Also the lack of a native app by Polk is a downside

Great bit of kit, but
It actually sounds excellent and with the 3 inputs it’s really helpful. The only bad thing to say is that the speakers all let out a hiss. And if you are sitting close to the rear ones you’ll hear it.
