It was good! However it will be better if you send the product in an insulator material because you know, this could expire.

My huacatay product was delivered Dec 29. I just pulled it from my cupboard and noticed the outer package said best by April 2024BUT. Each individual package within has expiration marked as Jan 1 2024!!!!!!

I got this after our trip to Peru. The huacatay was more subtle than the fresh obviously, but it didn't have a lot of mint flavor. The other thing to know is that it is very stringy. We were finding fibers in everything we used it in.

Will buy again!

About to travel to Peru, saw this and thought I might as well give this a try to see if I like it beforehand.Was expecting more mint but when opened, it was subtle. I marinated chicken and baked it w/ a bit of olive oil. This turned out great - I used what might have been a lot and took the juices of the chicken and the remaining huacatay in the baking dish to make a drizzle sauce for the chicken and for mashed potatoes.I think I have about 2/3 left in the bag for a few more recipes - will try with fish next.It was nice to use and try something different. Overall, I liked the taste and the resealable pouch is also a good idea.

I mixed about a half dollar sized amount with olive oil to make a marinade for lambchops. The mint flavor knocked my socks off! I like the deep and complex flavor that really pairs well with lamb meat. I am really impressed with the flavor and aroma. The package makes it easy to get what you want without having to use it all at once. It seals well, and pops in the fridge door to wait for its next dish. Tasty!
