This Vitamin C Dark Spot Corrector gel from Neoprosone comes in a 60ml pump bottle that’s easy to use. It has a thick gel consistency, spreads, and absorbs quickly into the skin. The product claims to help brighten the skin and fade dark spots. With 20% concentration of Vitamin C, it has a good chance of being effective. Especially when the vitamin C used in this formulation is L’Ascorbic Acid which is an active form of Vitamin C, and is more effective than the other types of vitamin C. I can see Alpha Arbutin formulated as the second ingredient, which means it has great ability to perform. I have been using it for almost two weeks now, and I can’t say I have noticed any improvements in the dark spots. Having said that, with products such as this, it will take around six to twelve weeks to truly start seeing visible improvements. If you have dry or sensitive skin, this higher concentration of Vitamin C might not be suitable for you. You can do a patch test to see if it’s suitable for your skin before applying it directly on your face. For the current price of £23.99, it's a good price for anyone who wants to give it a try and see if it would be suitable for their skin. This is definitely a lot cheaper than the Vitamin C serums from SkinCeuticals or Drunk Elephant with the same 20% vitamin C concentration. The formulations are not the same obviously, but you are getting the same amount of goodness from Vitamin C here. Overall, a good value of a high concentration of active Vitamin C serum as well as Alpha Arbutin that may work well brighten up the skin with consistent and regular use.

There’s no way I would describe this gel as lightweight. When applying to my face it felt like aloe vera gel, but sat on my skin for ages instead of absorbing quickly like aloe vera gel normally does. It felt horrible and sticky, and I thought I would have to wash it off unless I wanted to smear it all over my pillow while I slept. After waiting a good 30 minutes it had sunk in enough for me to sleep. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be if I applied in the morning and then wanted to put makeup on! I don’t think it was helped by the fact that there were no helpful instructions on either the box or bottle about how much to apply. Only, “apply to affected area”. Maybe I applied too much? But I’m not going to look up an Amazon page to get better instructions on applying skin care. Overall, using this product isn’t that enjoyable so I won’t be reaching for it that often.

I used this for some dark sun spot patches I had developing on my face. First off, it works and it works well. It does take a few treatments, or it did in my case, but I am seeing a notable difference as times goes on. I'm not sure if I used too much, but I did find a bit of a residue that lasted a while after applying. I avoided touching the area and after a few hours it was fully absorbed into the skin. Another note is the gel tingled and strung very slightly at times. Also felt my skin getting a bit itchy. This has ebbed in time as I got used to using the gel, but worth noting it might not be ideal if you have very sensitive skin. A patch test is probably a good idea as I only used this on a small bit of skin before trying it on more of my face. Price-wise it is about right for these sorts of cosmetics. I have found it does do the job and does it well.
